What naming convention does Horizon require for logo / clearart? It is not finding my local logo.png or clearlogo.png

The skin doesn't check for local files - it uses whatever is in the database. You need to use Artwork Downloader to add artwork to the database.

Do you mean the api issue? Because there are instructions in the artwork downloader thread to fix that. Plus artwork downloader can be still be used scan local files to dB. Unless there is some new issue now? Also I've seen stuff about artwork beef being a decent replacement (works a bit differently afaik though)

I really like the look of this skin.
It would just be nice if the following 2 requests were considered:

1) Being able to have more than 12 top-level menu items without offsetting the widgets.
- This is because I found out about this theme through a build which had more than 12 top-level menu items (I guess maybe carried over from another skin)

2) Other possible widget layouts, like maybe an optional layout in which the widget items wrap around, instead of flowing off-screen, and subsequent widgets can be listed under,
as they currently do.

no. its like this on my android box. 3gb ram etc. 

honestly im not sure if its even the skins fault. like i wrote before- ive lots of problems with the skin helper. 

since ive played a lot with the skin in the last few month ive multiple widgets which i dont use anymore (which the skin doesnt show) which are still visible in the backend. 

maybe it has to go threw all these again and again. 

omni was like new- it had my menu bar from skin helper but no widgets at all.

I have been raising this as an issue in github already, but thought maybe I'd be getting support here:

I am on latest libreelec 8.2 Kodi 17.5.
Skin helper service is version 1.0.36.016.
On every PVR related widget I try in main menu there is this issue that when going to live TV the widgets show that they're loading. After some seconds the areas - where the widget should be - disappear and only categories widget is shown.
I can provide a log if someone can tell me what exactly is needed.
It's the same behavior with Skin Helper Service Widgets version 1.0.30 to 1.0.35

just saw a Video from someone using the skin and in his libary (showcase view) he had disc art and media flags. 

in my case i cant get that look. 

of course i set everything up in the back end but the only thing that works is the logo. 

the disc art is not so important but id really like to have media flags. 

in showcase view i can choose between the rating (stars) and media flags. however- media flags is empty. 

do i need a special add on or something like that?

@jojofun - ive addressed both of these request previously. There will never be more than 12 items because of limitations with the way the widgets are designed. Widgets all need to have the same height so double row widgets is a no.

@djneil - I saw your github issue. As I mentioned a page or two back, I'm currently very busy for the next week,but I will look at the issues after then.

@Joe23rep - You need to use artwork downloader for discart. Media flags only work if you have local files scanned tothe library because kodi needs to read the file and extract the info about codecs from it. I can't remember if you were using plex or something similar - but I imagine those plex just passes an info stub to kodi rather than the file (until you stream from the server) - basically if there isn't a physical file to read kodi can't get the codec info.

Excellent skin, by far one of the best.

Would it be possible to add an option to prefer landscape art if it's available, otherwise default back to fanart with a clear logo overlay.

artwork downloader is really broken. had so much hassle with it. from only downloading tv show posters to saying ive no movie libary etc etc. never got logos nothing. did the whole api thing with fanart and tmdb etc etc


then i installed artwork beef. without going into its settings it downloaded around 5000 files. 

skin got so much better now. 


thanks for pointing out the media flags issue. atm i only have em when ive watched a movie. not a big issue tho. 

one question : how did you manage to get the rstings from rotten tomatoes? 

i installed the tmdb + rt rating add on but it doesnt seem to work.

I'm guessing that movies need to be in your library to display rating

For movie sets, the wrong metadata and images are being displayed for most of my movie collections. Is this a known issue?

That isn't a part of this skin. Looks like something the addon is doing.

If it’s not something the skin does why does not happen on all skins, it doesn’t happen in fuse, titan estuary only in horizon and grid
