I had two suggestions, but I don't know if it can be done from your end or Kodi end.

1) An option to hide the watched items (this option can be at the sidebar where you select views), this will be very helpful for users with big libraries like me, one of my folders have 1,200 movies (watched 80% of this folder) and another 600 (watched 40%) and another 500 (watched 30%) . I used a player with this option and I liked it.

2) Maybe you can add and make the subtitle dialog box (where you can toggle the language, Download subtitles) to show the subtitles already available in the video like many other media players do, currently the only way to know is to toggling the subtitle language, sometimes I download subtitles when there is already a subtitle because I forget to toggle the language to see what subs are already in the file.

I'd been using your DurationVar on my PVR Recording window with no issue for my skin Mod, but with the recent nightly upgrades I've made, this variable does not seem to work anymore. At first, I thought I might have a typo error somewhere, so I tested the same variable with your skin on the same window and it no longer works there either.
Do you know if something has changed for PVR Listitem Duration?
It's quite weird because when I use $INFO(Listitem.Duration) I get the Duration returned with no issue, but obviously not in the same format as DurationVar which would normally return (XXhXXm), which does not seem to work for some reason now.
Any idea what might be causing this to happen?

What do I need to do to get that progressbar of tv channels shown (post 2826)? Is it the widget appearance (i.e. banner, genre etc) I need to change?

Nothing to do, progress bar are displayed directly on widgets, just your TV Guide must be up to date. 

 Unfortunately I cannot see the progressbar. I am using TVHeadend as PVR backend. EPG is filled correctly. Any idea which area i should look into?

 No idea, just try latest nightly build and DurationVar working with items in library. If Listitem Duration is working there is no reason it's not working with DurationVar.

 No idea, just try latest nightly build and DurationVar working with items in library. If Listitem Duration is working there is no reason it's not working with DurationVar. 

I know, it's very strange. I updated to latest nightly earlier today, but no difference. Going to leave it for a few days and see if any further builds correct the issue. If necessary, I'll just have to use the Listitem Duration instead. I was going to ask if you could test the same, but I don't think you have recording functionality with your PVR Setup do you?

Ok, here is what i figured out so far (thx for helping):
- progressbar is shown within channel icons in case i activate the preconfigured TV widget). The title is not shown next to the progressbar (as in post 2826), however it is shown above the channel icon which is currently selected
- as soon as i choose widgets to personalize (Skin Helper Service Widgets --> Skin Helper Service Widgets --> PVR --> e.g. TV channels: All) neither progressbar nor current title is shown.

Any chance to also display the current title from EPG next to the progressbar?

Yes , it is possible but need to use script info from SHS (you don't love to use)

Not really understand what do you mean... Progressbars are under widgets tiles and only for default widgets.

EDIT : Try last git, I have aded progress bars for customs widgets.

Yes, I try that and working for me....I clear simplecache.db....wait some time to preload all from my library.
And working...Isue is  that that if you add subtitle in simplecache.db will show on next updates for metadatautils.get_streamdetails after 15 days if you have language in MyVideos109.db (when you download subtitle need to rescan library with Kodi) 
But if you have in your kodi db...subtitle will show.

I add this code in DialogPlayerProcessInfo.xml just for test
