I think this might be determined by looking at the git.The correct way would be to fork the skin on GitHub so any changes they make can be rebased but I am talking voodoo magic now for anyone who wants to skin but will not take the time to learn to do it properly
I just can't think of any other way to do it that would make things any easier. But then, what do I know.

If you are using Kodi v18 then you need to pay attention to the GitHub version of the skin as that is updated fairly quickly with any skin engine changes. This seems like a skin engine change that recently moved subtitle settings to its own dialog. If you are not on Kodi 18 and you installed the GitHub version then you installed the wrong one
