Release Universal Movie Scraper
I replaced the metadata.common.imdb.com folder with the 3.1.0 version and everything seems to be working again.

Now, if I can figure out why the ratings and year aren't being filled in for TV Show that would be great. Confused

Will this auto update soon? Not really sure how to get it into LE, and it doesn’t appear in the normal plugins list.

What scraper are you using. It can't be UMS.

It can take upto 24 hours to auto update. It appears in this location...
IMDB scraper library 3.1.0 (found in settings>system settings>add-ons>Manage dependencies)

Download from here if you are in a hurry... http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/leia/metad....imdb.com/

Same problem for me. As of a day or two ago UMS is failing to scrape movie plot from IMDB.

@shedrock

You can't be using Universal Movie Scraper for TV Shows, as UMS does not work on TV Shows.

You're absolutely correct. I apologize for that. The only other scraper is TVDB for the TV shows. I guess I would have to post in there to find out what's going on with it.

Thanks,

No problems. There is more than one though, which is why I was asking- TheMovieDB for TV Shows, Xem and TVDB

I tried Xem, which is pretty good. TheMovieDB for TV shows has not worked for the longest time. I always get the "Unable to connect to server" error message.

Anyway, hopefully someone will be able to help me in that forum.

Thanks again,

I have a strange issue with the Universal Movie Scraper 4.1.10, and I apologize in advance that I have not read all 107 pages of comments on this add-on, if this was solved there. I have tried to Google answers, but nothing obvious has come up.

I have on my file server the Charlie Chaplin classic film "The Kid" from 1921 as the file The_Kid_(1921).mp4
This does not get correctly recognized by the UMS (with "Include All Movie Categories" selected in the Search options, since quite a lot of other classic old short films did not get recognized without it), but it ends up calling it "The Kid" from 1916 (director Wilfrid North).

When I try to refresh the movie information manually with the UMS, the first thing on the suggested movie list is "The Kid (0012)" which seems to be the not-yet released Vincent D'Onofrio movie of the same name. Chaplin's film doesn't even seem to appear on this list, neither does North's.

I suspect something is going wrong in the imdb parsing part of UMS — perhaps it doesn't parse early 1900's years right and gets them confused with films without a release year? I believe one can test thus by just creating an empty file with the file name I gave above and trying to scan it into the movie list. Suggestions?

@ExTechOp

Scrapers are not 100% foolproof, so we have the ability to use a Parsing NFO to overcome these little problems. Use them and it won't be an issue... https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files#Parsing_nfo
