Yes, because the API is accessed as the same user.

Thank you. I will try to look for an alternative. Or maybe the fanart.tv will add animated posters.

That would be too good for me and many others to be true!  Love

Maybe the few examples he saw over 3 years ago were not very convincing. The quality of you animatedposters has been greatly improved since then.
It may helps to show founder "Kode" a showcase "best of examples"...

This is my absolute favorite - perfect !:

And these are also great!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8_nV0DDldY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_conti...0C4S5wcM84

In this regard, there are still 2 problems to solve:

1) There would have to be a strict convention for quality standards
A uniform resolution, aspect ratio, frames, duration, max size and so on...

2) The bigger problem will be online storage capacity and online traffic.
Who has read something on fanart.tv (also the blogs and background information) who knows that "Kode" has achieved a masterpiece in which fanart.tv strikes a perfect balance between ease of use, speed, near-infinite memory (for pictures only) with the opposite cost as far as fanart.tv can get through donations.
I've been following the "Bar for the Donations" for a while now, but it has never come close to the minimum.
See: https://ibb.co/fFChyK

Key message: The whole thing is free for everyone, but it still costs money!
It's a bit hard to find, but you can read that with a few metrics:
https://medium.com/fanart-tv/the-best-us...a88214bfec
The fact is that the number of pure users is many times greater than those who additionally sometimes click on paypal.

... and now in addition to the memory and traffic with animated fanarts would be difficult.
(Maybe you could offer it as a Premium (VIP) service)

By the way, fanart.tv just has also lack and mods Wink and is looking for some.

And no, I do not know any admin/mod from fanart.tv. And yes, also I could use more paypal in comparison to how much I use the platform (traffic, api...)

Thanks for reading

I am now hosting the animated gifs on a simple hostgator solution. No problem at all. Storage is not an issue. Never got any complaints about the traffic.

The animated effect is really amazing!
But i would not use it because of the "coming soon" on the poster. So it looks more like a advertisment on a bus station instead of a nice bluray cover.

I modified the poster to remove unnecessary texts, I added a watermark in the bottom right with the name of the original creator of the animation, I apologize in advance if it gne someone.

But if there are hundreds of thousands of hits every day (like fanart.tv), it would might look different.

In the normal .jpg posters i prefer the original release poster (english international) as well as in the Ghost in the Shell (2017) animated poster this was used as a source,
and unfortunately the text containing instead of a date too often a "coming soon" - can ignore the meantime confidently.

That's looking great!
I was actually convinced that this poster was created by a "creator" of this forum * gg *

I have added the estuary mod V2 which has the skin helper and animated gifs for posters.  Looks awesome.  How can I add some animated gifs locally in my folder so that the kodi scans them in my library?  Some posters are not showing up like Black Panther and I downloaded the poster and named it "Black Panther (2018)-animatedposter.gif"  Do I just put it in my black panther movie folder with all my files?  Will kodi scan it in?

I use the same naming as you!
Working like a charm with posters (but broken with fanarts on my side)
I'm almost sure that then only works with ArtworkBeef (AB)

These 3 settings are very essential (on my side)
https://ibb.co/h7UF3K
https://ibb.co/fUBZxe
https://ibb.co/i2Hk3K

For everything else, please refer to the ArtworkBeef (AB) forum and wiki

If you have not used ArtworkBeef yet, you should skip using "Moviename (Year)-animatedposter.gif" and save everything as "animatedposter.gif"

I hope to put the initial site live somewhere in October. Then I need to test it again and fill the database, which will take a lot of time.
