Did you do an update on the skin last night or today? My modified menu setting all reverted back to original skin menu. If this is due to an update, how do I stop this from happening again. I spent 4 hours setting it up the way I liked.

My family has been using your skin for quite a few years now and we absolutely love it. Thanks for all the hard work you continue to put into it.

Our main setup is being upgraded to 4k etc.etc. and we're in the process of upgrading our movie collection to include ultra hd 4k movies.

I was curious if there was a way of changing the uhd cases to a black one instead of the gold one?

We're currently on the krypton 17.6, the official android one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a pretty insignificant error in Includes_Home.xml.  I was changing skin colors and noticed on the home screen the 'Temperature | Date | Time' line that the Date stayed white and didn't change to the new color setting.  

In the 3 '<control type="label" id="9025">' controls I found a misplaced comma behind [COLOR grey].

when it should be
<label>$INFO[System.Date,,[COLOR grey] | [/COLOR]]$INFO[System.Time]</label>

Ok. This is not gonna be easy to track down. I do not see any errors in your log.

Log is saying you have 17 shows. Do any of those shows have episode upcoming? Do you use TVDB as scraper for your shows?

Are you using NFO files and if so do they have TVDB ID in them?

What happens if you re-add a show using tvdb scraper and not NFO (if you are using one) that has upcoming shows in the next week or two?

Just moved to Leia and was shocked to see Aeon Nox 5 wasn't available. Luckily, I found this this skin which is awesome. The only thing really that didn't do it for me was the Video OSD. Firstly, the OSD menu appears to the bottom of the screen which makes it difficult to test different subtitles (you have to exit the OSD every time you load a new subtitle because the OSD is blocking it). In the original Aeon Nox 5 the OSD is on top of the screen and for a good reason. Secondly, the original skin had a separate submenu for choosing a subtitle file. This meant that you could choose a subtitle in three pushes of a button (OSD -> Subtitles -> Subtitle file). While in terms of logic I appreciate you combining this menu and the menu for adjusting subtitles as one submenu, this adds another step to the subtitle process. I wouldn't mind it so much but usually most of the subtitle files are out of sync and can be a pain to get in sync and so it really starts to get bothersome when the process requires going through different menus.

Sorry but I probably will not change that.
Opening the subtitle dialogs should hide the OSD automatically:





If there is a time when working with subtitles it does not auto hide then please provide a screenshot so I can make sure that it does.

Aeon Nox 5 had that separate button for Krypton but the Leia version behaves the exact same way as this one does.

Thanks for response but was aware this could be turned off via the GUI. However I only want it unchecked for movies which are in a collection view.

You would have to mod this as it seems to be a very specific thing to add.

The place to add it would be the GlobalBackgroundVar variable in Variables.xml line ~52

Thanks again @mikeSiLVO for a great skin. I have updated to the latest version of the skin on Leia RC5 and have only one issue.

The menu bar always reverts to the low position on reload. I save in the central position, and it moves there, but on restart is always back at the bottom. Never had this issue before - any ideas?

Android device? Try setting the menu setting then exiting Kodi cleanly, might be caused by power cycling without shutting Kodi down first.

Updates do not cause the menu to be reset. If it did then I would be getting way more responses from other users saying the same.

No weird add-ons/repos installed on your system?

Could be a bug in Skin Shorcuts that happens rarely but without a debug log (wiki) it is hard to know what happened.

The only way to stop it happening again is to backup the Skin Shorcuts add-on data folder so you can restore it.

Not a mistake. Supposed to be only separators, weather, and time that is theme colored.

Master branch resource.language.en_gb is always the most up to date. I sometimes forget to add a label so if you do notice one missing please let me know.

If you do have any issues finding them then they are in media/thumbs/boxes then both the default and clearcases folder. It is the 4kp.png in each.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I also need the same thing for each Widget artwork type in order for me to add it to the skin. Those are located in media/homewidgets/cases and then the same folders as mentioned above. It is a decent list to alter so if you prefer a personal mod just for yourself, I completely understand

IMHO this question is a good starting point to discuss the complexities of skinning.

I may have an idea of how to do what you want but I do not know if it will work without testing it. The theory might be sound and make sense but then it does not work in practice. That is the nature of the beast. It takes time to look at the skinning documentation, come up with a "plan", realize that it does not work then spend the time "fixing" the functionality that you would like to add.

You are asking me to research the issue then come up with the code to make it happen.

That is, honestly, more often than not, way more complicated than anyone would have thought.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Autoplay music in fullscreen used to be at new start of music, now the skin does it every time a new track is manually selected during playback.
