on movies "posters" view in the botom are media flags ( show media flags activated). I would like to modify it and expanse with language and subtitles, but I don't know how the structure works and which files are related.
Someone can help me and tell me which files are related?

@Alanon  Nevermind, figured it out on my own.

It's important to note that Kodi's default Global Search 8.0.11 updated Leia Global Search DOES NOT WORK WITH THIS SKIN.

Global Search 7.4.7 downloaded here on the kodi site does work though. Sorry if I wasted your time Alanon and thank you.

@caseguy Yeah, I'm aware of the issue, I'll try and get everything updated as soon as I get some time.

@looks The flags icons are located in Includes_Furniture.xml, lines 376-448. Basically, you'll need to create your own subtitle and language flags variables somewhere else (like Includes_Variables.xml) and then reference those variables somewhere among the flags files, depending on the position where you'd like for them to be shown. That will have them appear next to the rest of the flags.

@spinnaker The official Leia skin shortcuts version is still in development, that's the one where menus won't work (That's version 1.9). Marcel's version works with the skin (1.0.XY). This has been confirmed many times in the past few weeks. As long as you have the proper versions installed, it should work. Thing is, this should have all been done automatically, if you had Marcel's repo installed before you installed the skin, it should have automatically pulled the relevant add-ons. I'm not sure what went wrong.

I also have no idea where that spinner came from. It might be that Estuary has a custom skin meant for the add-on (or vice versa), which is why you don't see that interface in Eminence. If the add-on hasn't been updated in months (since September?), it just might be that these errors are due to an incompatibility with Leia in their default skin. I've tried the add-on in two other skins, but the look of the screen and behaviour are the same for me (No devices found), while you seem to be experiencing playback issues.  The last time I saw the mpeg error you referenced had something to do with hardware acceleration, and I don't believe that's the real issue.

Have you tried the PVR add-on? It looks to be a proper backend, in which case it will force the data to go through the skins own TV interface - it might work?

I installed Marcels repo after the fact (I believe can't remember for sure)

I was not aware that there was a PVR for HD HomeRun.   I just tried it and it worked.   But it has issues.   It stalls when you are say looking at the guide or in other parts of Kodi.   I have not yet watched enough to see if it stalls while watching.   I also had an issue with audio not working when switching to watch video.

I also have NextPVR  The main reason I started using the HDHomer  is because of the guide in Eminence.   It is too wide.    Most of the show names get chopped off depending on the show name above.   I realize it can scroll but it is still difficult to read.

But I just realized there is a Channels view for PVR.  Can you give the ability to:

1. Switch between Guide, Channels, Recordings etc.   I think this they are called submenus.   There seems no way to set the menu to the parent pvr so they are all available.

2. Tighten things up  on the list by giving options to not display icons and the show progress bar.

BTW I think you are correct on the custom addon for HDHome.   I just tried Pellucid and it fails too.   So there must be a custom plugin in Estuary.

Thank you for keeping Eminence going. Every other skin out there looks like crap when compared to it. When Kodi 18 was forced upon my wife and I it banged and crashed liked roller derby. And trying to get Eminence to work was a chore in itself. It was fruitless.

Both my wife and I use the Nvidia Shield (her upstairs, me down) and getting it to run smoothly with Kodi 18 took some trial and error, but I got it. If anybody needs to know how, it's all in the order you do things. As soon as you have Kodi 18 installed - Gitbrowser goes on first. And ONLY Gitbrowser, not the Indigo crap. (In the TV addons repo, do not go to the "go here first" directory, go to the English directory, that's where you'll find the standalone Gitbrowser add-on.) From there use Gitbrowser and search for user Alanon202 to find the latest Eminence 2 Mod and install from there. After you get it installed, you can install all your add-ons to your hearts content. Seriously, if you do it in any other order on the Shield device and Kodi will crash and burn time and time again.

That's the only way I got Eminence 2 mod to work with Kodi 18 on both of our Nvidia Shields. I even went to my brothers house and did the same for him.

Anyways, Alananon, on the info screen (both movies and TV shows) the boxes at the bottom are an issue for me and my old eyes. They're small and it's difficult to tell what each box does. I know the last one is REFRESH (which I use often as I like to set my own genres and such after altering the NFO file) but how do I know what the others do? They just seem really small to me (even on my 55" tv). Is there a way to change them to text?

Completely agree.   Guess I should not complain because I have never taken the time to develop my own but you got to wonder what on earth some people were thinking when they developed some of those   skins.   It is almost like they were after form rather than function.   Eminence is one of the very few skins that simply gets the job done yet still manages to be attractive.

Hello

I found some problems related to Netflix.

1. After activating the netflix plugin and selecting the netflix view, the subtitles overlap. The title of the movie is not visible.
2. Lack of film covers (poster).
3. There is no fanart in the entire netflix plugin.
https://zapodaj.net/19b223f37db37.png.html

Another problem is that.
If I give 2 x right, then left, 2 points are marked. In every place in the netflix view this happens. As I am at a point and give a point next to it and then go back to the previous point, there are 2 points marked.

This information is missing about the film + HDR

Could you enter the netflix view into the netflix main menu? It would be great if the view resembled that of an android.

@spinnaker Could you perhaps throw some screenshots of the guide issues my way? I'm working with the PVR Demo client which looks like crap and provides very little useful info, so changing anything is always a challenge. I understand what you mean about a native way of switching between the windows. I've seen it done through custom menu entries. In the interim, have you considered doing something similar with QuickNav? It works just like a shortcuts menu, only it's available when hovering in the top portion of the window with your mouse. If you place Channels, Recordings and PVR as your shortcuts, it should make your navigation easier for the time being. (Oh, and there are three channel view variations to choose from, in case you missed them!)

@rajones007 Thanks for the kind words! I know exactly what you mean about the icons. I've been itching to change them somehow for at least a year, but I haven't been able to find proper replacements. I can't use text buttons, because there's no more room (not when you include a couple more buttons for various add-ons, anyway), and text buttons would almost double the width. The best thing I can see happening is just to have larger icons, which would mean removing the annoying frame. You can't believe how difficult it is to find nice, expressive, clean white icons that would play well with the restrictions I have.

@kowalmisiek The Netflix view wasn't made for the Netflix Kodi add-on, but for use in your media library. Everything else is dependent on the content that the Netflix add-on provides, and the way in which it references the necessary elements. For example, this view only uses thumbnails or animated fanart (there is a switch in the menu). If the Netflix add-on provides only posters, nothing will be visible in the boxes, or in any other view type in the skin that uses thumbnails, nothing I can do about that. Also, media flags aren't located up top, but in the bottom, like in the rest of the skin, and only if you have the flags setting active. Again, if the Netflix add-on doesn't reference them as resolution/audio, they won't be visible anywhere in the skin.

The Custom Menu was a great idea.   A bit clunky to get to the Quick Nav but it works.   Maybe there is a keyboard shortcut?

Here is what I mean.   It would be nice to turn off the icons at least.   In past versions (I don't remember what it was called way back then, you actually had to setup the icons.  If you did not they did not appear.

It would also be nice to turn off the progression bar.   This would leave more room for the text.   But you might not have the ability to do that in the API?

A really nice feature media center had was the ability to click on a channel and it would list all of the shows in a columnar format.  It was sort of like the guide but only for that channel.   It was a great way to view all of the shows on your favorite channels.

Okay, this is the best I can do. Take the code below and paste it into Includes_Furniture.xml after line 389. This code will allow for up to two languages and two subtitles, provided that the language is formatted properly, so everything can be matched. The only issue I can see with this is space, since there is already a bunch of icons in the lower region, you'll probably have to disengage some elements to make room. If you don't want the indicator icons, you can just delete the entire image control. The same goes for the second subtitle or second language. Of course, you'll have to copy this code after every update.

Code:

            <control type="image">
                <width>40</width>
                <height>50</height>
                <aspectratio>keep</aspectratio>
                <texture colordiffuse="ListLabel">indicator/audio.png</texture>
                <visible>!String.IsEmpty(ListItem.Property(AudioLanguage.1))</visible>
            </control>
            <control type="image">
                <width>50</width>

One more thing on my wish list.   The ability to see the physical file location of a video when listing TV Show episodes or movies.     I know this was available at one time on some other skin.   It was very useful.

I've been looking for the perfect skin for my house for months! My family got very very used to the regular Confluence skin that I've used since Kodi Isengard I think, and every time I've tried a new skin it was just too different and they complained to no end. I would still use Confluence but I really wanted to be able to have custom widgets. I tried some of the other "current" skins like Aura and the Arctic Zephyr mod that's out there, and they worked, but they all seemed to have too much and the performance was not always stable when I had a lot of custom widgets setup.

Anyway, this skin is absolutely perfect! It has every single thing I wanted, plus enough customizations that I could make it "my own" and it performs like a dream! It's very easily the smoothest skin I've tried. So thank you very much! And believe me when I say that.. I currently have 67 skins installed.. Lol

I have three questions, first in the settings there was a "quick nav" that I could create, but I can't figure out how to actually call it. Is that listed somewhere that I missed?

Second, in every home menu item that I don't have a widget setup for, it adds in this Spotlight of what appears to be random movies. This isn't a big deal but is that able to be turned off?

Lastly, is it at all possible to be able to edit the widget format? For example, for movies, having a Poster makes sense. But for TV episodes, I would love to be able to have (I think it's called) fanart. Like the picture preview of the file in question. I only ask this because I personally will add TV shows to my library in large chunks, and I would like to see the a small preview of the episode. I really hope that makes sense, it's not coming out as clear as it is in my head :p

Regardless, thank you again! I've found my perfect skin Smile

@Protocol Zero Hello and welcome to the skin! Glad you like it! Big Grin Now, on to your questions.

QuickNav uses skin shortcuts menu shortcuts in a distinct dropdown menu. It's most useful if you have a mouse since hovering the cursor near the top will have it drop down. If you use a remote, the quickest way to get to it is to call up the usual submenu with whatever remote command you use and go UP from the menu. In a second, the QuickNav should drop down. If you're willing to play around with some custom key remapper, I suppose you could make your own shortcut, though I've never tried it.

The skin uses a "fallback widget" system, and the spotlight thing you see is the default one (it's really just a random playlist with a fancy name, but oh well). You can switch it off individually by selecting None as the widget in every custom menu, or by going to Skin Settings - Widgets - Fallback widget - None. This will switch the feature off entirely. (Keep in mind that there's no reset feature for the master override setting, so you'll have to manually select a random playlist to get something like Spotlight back.)

This skin predates the more complex widget systems (I still remember when Mr V's widget system showed up and you could set up everything, it was a revolution back in Jarvis days) and it really provides no customization options with regards to ways to display content. Pretty much, what you see is what you get. I've personally had very little luck modifying anything, not just because of my (poor) coding skills, but because the way the widgets are laid out limits even my theoretical options. Presuming I was successful in modding the appearance, adding episode thumbnails and adding proper user options (for some reason, it's a hurdle for me, I still haven't grasped the skin shortcuts mechanics), I could still only fit two thumbs in the space where I can now place five posters (this is ignoring the vertical main menu layout, it's even worse there). And two thumbs aren't much. So if I wanted to make it functional, I'd have to find a way of overhauling the thing for episodes, and probably find a way to hack in a new widget layout in there somehow. Which is not to say I'm against it, just that I don't as of yet have a clue how to do that effectively.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, I'll respond as soon as I'm able.
