Arctic: Zephyr 2
Hey Jurial - Love your work!

Any way you could include the option to use our own genre icons on the genres page? I've created several custom genres in my nfo files and have an icon set I've created that includes them. Thanks!

Not like in AZ1, but they will be used in select places:

Looks fine. But I would like to see logos also in some library views.

I'll have a look and see if it's possible. I remember I had issues with custom selection of genre icons in the past, but I can't remember exactly what the issue was.

Try the addon library node edtior, it should help you in that case Wink

Yeah, node editor can do this. Create a parent node called decades, then create nodes inside for each decade.

Its interesting that decades were mentioned though, because I actually have custom windows in AZ2 for decades (and genres and bunch of other nodes) -

Anxiously awaiting teasers for the Gaming part Smile

Absolutely brilliant work, can't wait for A:Z 2 and then update my current LE/Kodi 17.6 to LE 9/Kodi 18 with A:Z 2!
check out what i have done with your skin eminence, wich is what your doing with this skin... the submenus and all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1pBiJoiDI0&t=

of course my menus are separated by my source folders and smartplaylists for the submenus of the specific folder... example genres of short movies, etc. genres of movies, etc. genres of animation movies, etc.

if you could automate this process would be nice... because on movie source folder you have animation movies, short movies, medium movies, movies and documentaries on the same place and that is for me a crappy way to show your content, but theres people who don´t have problem with that... if you could make a way to show an automated menu option for specific folder would be nice.

i have done something similar with artic zephyr on the submenu options without hubs.

edit: the addons you see... big star movies and tubi tv are free sites like popcornflix and crackle. I dont have them installed anymore.

It's kind of automated. If you create a folder on your hard-drive containing a collection of smart-playlists, then you can point the custom hub window to the folder and it will auto-fill.

For instance, here is the extras/playlists folder of smart playlists which I ship with skins as default widget options:

I was hoping for something more along the lines of this, not sure I like the idea of swiping for additional artwork and a page specifically for just the CD art

this looks terrible. i hope this doesnt get implemented.

Got an example screenshot?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just logged into Spotify web player and see what you mean (I'm so used to using Spotify on my phone that I forgot what the web player looks like).

EDIT2: Looks pretty good!

Uh that looks interesting, getting seasons and episodes of the selected one at the same time.
How to open the side menu in this view? (Since we can go up down left and right here) By Pressing up when the selection is on the season layer?

I think I would flip over the episode details to the right side and highlight the selected season as well.

An option to hide details in such views would be great as well

What do you mean by hide details? Like the plot to prevent spoilers? Kodi already has an option for that in the library settings.

Yep, press up from season posters to access menu.

Highlighting the selected season at the same time makes it confusing where the focus is.
The focus moving from season to episode list feels natural, it's just one of those things you need to experience in action rather than see a screenshot of.
It's a season view, so you always start on the 1st season poster and then you either move right to select the next season or down to select an episode.

I did try it flipped and I quite liked it. The main issue is that in other views I have the poster the left and text/list on the right (e.g. see the info dialog). So I'm trying to keep things consistent by having artwork on the left and lists on the right.

Flipped.

However, I have views like this, so I'm worried about consistency:

Maybe it would make sense to flip the media info type views so that the list is on the left.
It maybe could work with an animation like in Eminence from the hub to library where the view slides to the left/right.
What do you think?

Here's the normal list and poster list compared against the flipped media info view:

I mean to completly hide the left panel so that on top there are only the posters of the season and at the bottom the episode list.

Alright, how about making the selected season text bolt? Yep seems already neat then Smile Would also be cool of we could switch season from the list by pressing right and left

The examples of the flipped media info are way better in my opinion Smile Really great Smile Or you really just add an option for poster/info on left or right as discussed before^^
