Change back to the default skin Estuary, then try your update. Does that fix it?
Thanks for your reply. I've tried that already, but no dice.

Also I can't quite put my finger on it but there is some issue with using keyboard command "I". Play a video, press I and nothing happens. Press I again and the info appears. Or use the video command bar click the icon for info it works and then you can use the keyboard "I". This is even with embuary installed.

As for the other issue, I test using a keyboard everyday and have never had that problem...

That was quick! So I updated with the git! Thanks!

EDIT - Nailed the "I" key issue...if you have video playing and move the mouse the player controls appear. While they are still on screen pressing the "I" key has no result. This might not be a bug, might be the intended effect. But there it is...

I'm not sure under what conditions the clipping of the text doesn't work but occasionally I see programme names overlapping their boundaries like on the highlighted programme in this shot, and also the one to the right.  Could it be the special characters throwing off whatever function determines the correct width?

Reworked the Guide a little bit and added the icons from Estuary. The overlap was from a slide animation to fit the old icons so I removed that.

Please test latest from Git.

I don't think that's a Kodi bug. If your using the mouse in fullscreen it auto opens the VideoOSD and since the focus is now on that dialog, that makes sense, while also explaining why the i button doesn't work.

Nice, overlap looks to be fixed.  I can see why you might like the Estuary icons, their major advantage is they're above the text and therefore don't eat up space however the future timer one could do with being your old shade of blue as currently, it doesn't stand out much at all in white.  My initial reaction was that I wanted the Aeon Nox ones back because they were so much bigger, obvious and readable but I can see the advantage of being able to have more of the programme titles visible.

The new changes to the vertical home menu requested by @patzzz has a small problem. The new "Aeon Nox main menu navigation style = Fixed" behaves as pattzz asked except if one has too many items on the main menu the focus runs off the bottom of the screen where it isn't visible.

The obvious fix as a user is to change this option to Default but then the list is now looped where it previously was not. The old behaviour was  a locked and centred focus and options "Fixed" = not looped and "Default" = looped. I want to continue having a non-looped, locked and centred focus, vertical home menu list. Can we have a third option to keep it as it was before?

Thanks!

Actually the obvious fix is for me to fix it and to not focus on an item off-screen Wink
That should not happen anymore with latest Git Smile

No 3rd option cause fixed will behave like RightList does now when using its fixed option. If you want it centered then you should use default.

I think the old option was very ugly and I never noticed cause I don't use the Vertical Menu otherwise I would've changed it a long time ago.

Thanks for the fix.

I previously read that you considered my preferred option to be ugly and was dreading this outcome (I'm exaggerating, of course) but I suppose I can get used to it. It does make navigating the main menu that bit harder though. I often go twice around the list just to find what I'm after because the landmarks of start and end are gone in this infinity loop.

Well, I mean ugly IMHO. I am a big fan of consistency so the Vertical Menu behaving exactly like the Horizontal does is a thumbs up from me.

I don't remember what my original thought was but it was probably to not interfere with what Mr. V did with the widgets and I should probably re-design the Vertical to be more consistent with the Horizontal Menu.

Not 100% sure how to do that but my thinking right now is to have the now playing widget in the center and Widget 1 be on top while Widget 2 on the bottom. I have not changed my setup in awhile. I am going by memory here but I think Widget 1 is always above the menu while Widget 2 is either below or above where Widget 1 would be depending on whether the main menu is centered or not.

I can and usually do add/adjust things if someone makes a good case for it or I did not think anyone was currently using it and they complain but it has to make sense. The Vertical Menu "fixed" option working the way it did previously not only does it not make sense but in no way does it match the Horizontal.

Anyhoo, I am open to suggestions and requests but I will not add anything unless it make sense to me.

Feel free to try and convince me though Wink

Don't worry, I understood where you were coming from with the "ugly". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc.

It's true that the new "Default" is more consistent with the horizontal view; I'll give you that.

I'm not sure what you mean about the widgets. That might of been for someone else's benefit. I don't have any complaints about the widgets.

As for convincing you of the benefits of a finite vs loop main menu (known as Fixed on/off in other views) then I can only reiterate that a finite (non-looped) list makes it easier to know where you are in the overall list. eg. I'm at the top of the list because there is nothing above the focus. I'm at the bottom of the list because there is nothing below the focus. A loop negates this effect and I have to pay more attention as I scroll because I don't know at glance where in the list I am.

This is a minor, minor problem but in my perception a downgrade from what we already had. From this point of view I expect you understand. As a user, asking for an improvement is one thing but a downgrade is subtly different. Something has been taken from me (oh the drama! Wink ).

Anyhoo, I'm not too phased. Just as long as I tried to be heard and you understand where I'm coming from, the ball is in your court and I will respect whatever you decide. It's no big deal. Smile

P.S.
I think my interest in the skin has reached a point where I think I should start modding it myself. I expect there is a lot to learn so I just have to see if I can afford the time investment and how it will impact my other commitments. Watch this space! I might be pestering you for coding tips in the future.

HI,

How do I edit Date to lower case and change color? I'm referring to date inside "System Bar" or next to "Theme" in Home Widows.  See screenshot

Hi, can someone please tell me what I need to do to get the additional rotten tomatoes and other ratings to work again?
They stopped working for me some months ago.
I installed v7.0.3 on latest Leia build together with the embuary helper script as explained some posts above but nothing happens.
I can only see my IMDb ratings and rankings.

Is there anything else I need to adjust maybe?
What else is the point of using embuary helper? Is it just used to get additional ratings?

Anyway thanks for the continuous support for that skin. Been using it for years now. Smile

You need to enable it in the settings of Universal Movie Scraper and enter an OMDB api key.

Embuary helper exposes those scraped ratings outside DialogVideoInfo.

Hi, thanks for your fast reply.
I guess I need to be an active patron for this right? I still have an old OMDb API key but canceled my subscription some time ago.
And is there a way to get this working without the need to re-scrape everyhing with Universal Movie Scraper? Like some kind of backup job for ratings only?

Hi Mike,

just to request a small change to correct the MusicVisualisation.xml.  Currently BitsPerSample has an incorrect unit 'bps' it should be 'bit'

$INFO[MusicPlayer.BitsPerSample, , bps ·]

Hi,

I'm unable to left click on the seekbar with a mouse when I seek for a specific time while any movie is playing. Do you experience the same behavior?

For information, this works fine with Estuary.
And seeking with mouse wheel is working fine on both skins.

Skin version 7.0.3
Kodi 18.3
Win10, all drivers up to date

Thx!
