Release Aeon Nox: SiLVO
(2021-04-11, 05:26)h@z0 Wrote: switch to blur background

Hi...!

To have blur on the info screen, you have to update your install with Silvo's latest in GIT.

1. Download from link.
2. Extract contents
3. Erase "addon.xml" from the extracted files
4. Erase "textures.xbt" (DO A SEARCH BC I DON'T REMEMBER WHERE IT WAS) from your sink installation, ie:
    C:\Users\YOUR_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo
5. Copy all the contents from the extracted zip from GIT MINUS addon.xml that you already erased.
6. Replace all the contents from:
    C:\Users\YOUR_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo

Now you have BLUR plus all the improvements Silvo has made to the skin (including HDR tags).

Hope this helps... Have an excellent day!

FINAL NOTE:
You can simply download the GIT zip and install it from within your kodi instalation (it's simpler) but with the long way you should retain the ability to upgrade from Kodi Oficial Repository when Silvo pushes the next update.

After I go back to check it it has gone back to its default setting "LIST" while I have it set to "Myflix".

Am I doing something wrong or is this an error in Kodi Matrix.
We are all using a new Kodi (Matrix) with an updated Silvo.
As Karellen has posted, always see if you get the same error with another skin (which is very easy to do).
That simple test will determine if the error is in Matrix or in the Silvo skin.
Then you know whether to post in this Silvo thread, or in the relevant Kodi thread.

In Skin Settings/Customization/Video & Music Information - there is a setting Blur Background behind information.

I'd like to change that background (Fanart) to my own .png (a black background to match my global black.png background) or any other way to get rid of the image, blurred or not, and use a solid color instead.

Is this possible and if not maybe it could be considered for a future option?

Basically,the skin no longer exists ... back to the default skin (Estuary).

hi all,
kodi noob here (but loving it, especially the mod - looks so much better).
small annoyance which i have, and i think can be solved (if not manually):
any MKV file gets the case, with a blue ribbon BLURAY on the side , MKV movies in 4k get a case that says 4K, etc etc

but if my movies in a" blue ray format" (ie directory called BDMV etc) the case is not created. on the bottom, in, the icons, it does say "blu ray" and there is really no problem
just for the case.

does anybody know how i can resolve this myself?
thank you in advance
s

---------------

anybody guys? somebody should know the mechanic, used in the mod, to select the <Blu-Ray> tag on the movie case (or <4k> tag, or any other tag).
you can manually add it to a *.mkv file (ie "black hawk down.bluray.2010.mkv" ) but when the movie directory onyl contains another directory ("bdmv") then no tag is selected at all.
surely there is someway to manipulate the system into displaying a case & tag?

(aside from ripping the whole DB with handbrake in to mkv )

best regards & thanks for the modders again - its a work of love & art, and i well appreciate all the work

dear mike, sorry for troubling you. can you point me in direction of script/code which handles the case section?
id like to get cases displayed when the move is not an *.mkv but a directory bdmw. i suspect a (manual) fix should not be that hard (to trick the script i mean)
if i find the solution, ill post back how it got solved
thanks to you and your team for the superb mod

PS this is on 18.9 (downgraded back because 19 is incompatible with artwork beef, life didnt make any sense anymore *_* )

Is the skin menu option: 'Music Videos> View List> Background', broken?
While I am able to use this to save an image, that image never appears as a background in my Windows10/Kodi 19.0 setup.
Selecting from the Main menu, 'General> Set default background', will provide a background, but this is then applied throughout the skin.

Mike
Any chance of providing a RightList view for Music Videos?

This method resulted in no backgrounds when I switch to blur background. Install from zip worked though. Can't say I'm a fan of the new (un)watched/resume overlay icons. Too colorful for me Big Grin

I try to make things work for the not colored option in the skin. I can attempt to make the current ones greyscale when that option is chosen. I think they would work but not 100% on that...

Hi. @mikeSiLVO

Could you have added an extra button for pvr radio with signature - radio="true" - ?

Code:

<control type="button" id="700">
    <texturefocus>osd/buttons/OSDPlaylistFO.png</texturefocus>
    <texturenofocus>osd/buttons/OSDPlaylistNF.png</texturenofocus>
    <label />
    <width>100</width>
    <height>100</height>
    <font />
    <onclick>Close</onclick>
    <onclick>ActivateWindow(MusicPlaylist)</onclick>
    <visible>!Pvr.IsPlayingRadio</visible>
</control>
<control type="button" id="700">
    <texturefocus>osd/buttons/OSDPlaylistFO.png</texturefocus>
    <texturenofocus>osd/buttons/OSDPlaylistNF.png</texturenofocus>
    <label/>
    <width>100</width>
    <height>100</height>
    <font/>
    <onclick>Close</onclick>
    <onclick>ActivateWindow(RadioChannels, return)</onclick>
    <visible>Pvr.IsPlayingRadio</visible>
</control>

also for pvr radio "VizBackgroundVar"

<value condition="[Pvr.IsPlayingRadio | Player.IsInternetStream] + !String.IsEmpty(Window(Home).Property(SkinHelper.Player.Art.ExtraFanArt))">$INFO[Window(Home).Property(SkinHelper.Player.Art.ExtraFanArt)]</value>
<value condition="[Pvr.IsPlayingRadio | Player.IsInternetStream] + !String.IsEmpty(Window(Home).Property(SkinHelper.Player.Art.FanArt))">$INFO[Window(Home).Property(SkinHelper.Player.Art.FanArt)]</value>

If you installed from Kodi repo, it's not yet implemented.
Latest GIT ver has it. Just downlod from here.

If you need help with the process just drop a line here...
I read this message just now, stopped kodi, replaced my addons/skin.aeon.nox.silvo dir with a fresh git clone from silvo, restarted kodi and see no HDR icons anywhere. Where are they supposed to show up exactly?

Thanks

Hi...!

Your files should be named accordingly for HDR tags to show.
i.e.>  your.movie.1080p.Blu-ray.x264.HDR
         tv.show.1080p.WEB-DL.AC3-5.1.H264.HDR
As long as your files are named complying with Kodi and have the HDR tag they should be listed.
NOTE> HDR tags will show in movies. HDR tags for TV Shows will only appear at the episode level and only on the info screen and video osd.
           We should ask MikeSilvo to add the tag on all the views for tv shows...

Thanks for your reply. I do see the little HDR icon now next to the big 2160p icon when I navigate to a movies information context menu item. I wish the HDR icon was visible without needing to navigate to an information menu though, like the little rectangular "4K" icon shows on the movie InfoWall next to the movie title. Something to see what's HDR and what isn't from top level views. I'll live though and appreciate that the icon has been added.

On a side note, does Kodi limit the size of gui icons or is that a skinners choice? Some icons seem a bit small when using Kodi on 65" and bigger 4K tv's.

I really love Silvo, and have done all the customizations necessary to make it almost perfect (for me). The Infowall is the view of choice for me, if I could only have the flags to show which languages & subtitles are present (like in the Rightlist or Logo views) it would be perfect.
