v19 Artwork Dump - download scraper provided artwork
(2021-12-29, 10:00)Tobby Wrote: There we go.
Thanks.
Well, I have never seen a log like yours before. I'm wondering what all that garbage is. Can you check your original log and see if you have all that garbage there also? Want to make sure its not an upload glitch. Line 5 and 8 as an example in your log.

I can see another problem that looks like is the cause of your artwork dump problem. Line 2585 of your log. Solution is here... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=357217

Once you make that MySQL change, check if artwork dump works. If not, I'll need another log, hopefully without all that garbage text.

I can and I have. I even took another log and it was looking the same.

Thanks for the solution, however I really don't understand what I'm supposed to do. Is it a file I should edit or a command from cmd? I couldn't find any file matching the name atleast. Only file in etc folder was "mysqlrouter.conf.sample". And if it's a command where and how am I supposed to write it?

Ok, lets see if this MySQL fixes the log issue also.

Sorry, I have no idea. Maybe @Klojum or @black_eagle can help

Where the mysql config file is located depends upon the OS running MySQL, so I'd need to know that first to know where to look.

Got it working now. It was a file, however it had a different name on Windows than on Ubuntu. Posted info in the thread you linked.

Log still looks weird though. Here's the beginning of it if you're interested: https://paste.kodi.tv/vuvopoquki.kodi

EDIT: Thanks for responding @black_eagle. It was Windows 10, but I just found it.

Hi I am really new with Kodi, not very technical. Probable posted in the wrong place. Sorry!

Artwork Dump, how to make this work. I have created the Movies- Sets Art folder. set the location in Kodi Matrix 19.3 I (Settings - Library) Set artwork ot basic, Configured Artwork Dump to download all artwork. Inside Artwork Dump configuration.

All the art work has downloaded into each of my movie folders. I can see this as I had only a poster.jpg before the scan with Artwork Dump and after I have fanart in the folder. I guess it is working.
Now, what I do not understand, is what do I do next?  I am trying to get movie-set art work for my movie sets in the default skin for Kodi Matrix 19.3 on Nivida Shield Pro (2019 model) Newest model.

I have enabled in the Kodi settings - I have set in the setting of Kodi "Set movie set folder", I have used the Artwork Dump  to download the artwork which is now in my movie folder for each movie, but still there is nothing in my Movies- Set Art folder?

So what is my next step? Please an easy step by step. Thank you.

@astrojam - I have merged your question into the correct support thread for Artwork Dump (this current one). As you note, your post was in the wrong place.

Just a heads-up anyway so you know where to find it. This thread should also give you more info on the addon and how to use it.

Why do you want basic artwork only? This will give you poster and fanart and nothing else. Do you not want banner, clearart, clearlogo, discart etc?

First guess is that there is a problem with the set up of the Movie Set Information Folder. Where is this folder- local drive, network drive? Are the folder permissions correct?

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't see any advantage of Artwork Dump over Artwork Beef (or the new method of scraping SET artwork into individual folders).  If I am understanding correctly, we now have to create an individual subfolder for every set in our collection under the Movie Set Information master folder - for me, that's hundreds of individual folders!  It will take a dog's age to create them one by one, manually.  Is there any way to pull the set names from the data base and automatically create all the necessary folders?

I you don't mind me asking, why was Artwork Beef abandoned in v.19 in favor of the MSIF?  Artwork Beef worked so well for scraping artwork for SETs.

You are confusing two different features. Abandoning Artwork Beef had nothing to do with MSIF. And MSIF did not cause Artwork Beef to be abandoned.

You should be able to run Artwork Dump manually and it should create the Movie set folders for you. As long as you have set the folder in Kodi's setting page.

I must be doing something wrong!  I've tried "running" every option with Artwork Dump but Kodi hasn't created all the "SET" folders.  I am using MySQL as the database and I use TMM to scrape, edit if necessary, and then rename/move the movies (1 per folder) into folders named by genre (from initial tag in the movie file).  No offence but I still prefer Artwork Beef because it allowed you to preview all available posters and then choose the one that you wanted to use for your movie set.

I am posting a link to a screenshot of my settings for "SET's" (I couldn't figure out how to upload and image with the post).

Thank you for your continued help.

TMM should be creating each movie set folder and filling it with artwork. Check your TMM settings.

If you are using TMM, you don't need Artwork Dump.

A combo of Kodi, Universal Movie Scraper, and Artwork Dump creates movie sets for me and a movie set poster automatically.  I've never used 3rd party anything.  For instance.  I have a movie.  Years later, I add the sequel to that movie.  When Kodi finishes doing it's automation after this new title is added, I navigate my library and see the new set.  Both the old movie and the new movie are now in the set.  I didn't need to create it.  Kodi did it for me.  There is a poster automatically assigned for this brand new set.  Not one of the movie posters - a set poster usually named SomeMovie Collection.  Same with the other artwork such as the logo.  Also a synopsis is created about this new collection.  If I decide to edit the artwork for this newly created movie set, poster for example, I can navigate the info page to 'artwork/poster' and there are selections for various posters for that movie set I can manually exchange.  If there is already an existing set, and I add yet another movie that belongs in that movie set, it appears in the set as it should without me having to add it manually.  I do not use any special movie set folders or anything.  I just add a title in it's own folder as I do all titles scattered across multiple HDD's.  All of them are local.  I love Kodi  Big Grin

It really is pretty cool. I was just kinda hoping there would be like Marvel Cinematic Universe or DC Universe collections but I guess I get why they don't combine movies from different franchises.
