pvr-mythtv for Kodi 20.1

For instant “kodi-pvr-mythtv–20.3.0-1” is published only for Kinetic. You can verify yourself here

Kinetic:

Jammy:

Yes i Know..., i have Ubuntu 20.04 LTS installed, and the same Problem with my PVR-Addon (Next-PVR), Version to old for Kodi 20.0. Did it mean, that i have to install Ubuntu 22.10 to install the stable-branch for Kodi? And why is Kinetic preferred before Jammy as a LTS-Version? To use Ubuntu 20.04  furthermore is it possible to build it from source (e.g kodi-pvr-mytthtv) or is her Pythonversion and other dependencies too old for it? It would be nice if somenone here have an answer!

I don’t think it's to old. It’s just not published yet. BTW from Bionic up to Kinetic there is nothing published in stable for Kodi 20, there is only “kodi-pvr-nextpvr_19.0.6-1”, but in Unstable you can find “kodi-pvr-nextpvr_20.3.1-1” for Focal up to Kinetic. https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archiv...lter=focal
So just wait until kodi-pvr-nextpvr find it's way to stable or use the unstable PPA.

No, and for a media center I would stick with LTS!

This is what I’ve asked myself.

I would say yes.

This linked to Version kodi-pvr-mythtv - 6:19.0.11-1~focal , which is too old for Kodi 20.0 Nexus! Give it a proper way to downgrade to Kodi 19 (at last 19.5 i mean) or step by step manual to build from source? Thanks in advance!
I dont like to install Ubuntu new, only for this addon, all the other things works (except Amazon VOD Addon runs not full in function since a while, but this was for another Thread.... Rolleyes )

@jawilljr
Sorry but I think some things got mixed up. It was me who was looking for kodi-pvr-mythtv for Jammy and Eduardo62 was looking for kodi-pvr-nextpvr for Focal.

Have you read my post before jawilljr’s one? https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3133164
You don’t need to do something, kodi-pvr-nextpvr for Focal is already in Unstable, so you just have to wait. Apparently it’s only ONE person who does all this stuff, just give him some time to finish. If you cannot wait (like me here), go with the Unstable PPA for the time your pvr isn’t in stable. Surly less work than to install Ubuntu new.

Yes i do, no excitement! And convert to "unstable" is not my way. You dont know what happened with your system in Future. I think you ride a bicycle neither without a saddle? Devil
But I'll take you up on that. But dont understood why Kodi Nexus marked as stable, and the complete PVR-Addons not compatible with most of the newer Ubuntuversions.

both mythtv and nextpvr have been uploaded to the stable PPA, should be available in a couple of minutes

Dear wsnipex & Koditeam, thanks a  lot for the very fast fix! But this reached not yet the updatecyle, i have to sit and wait? Smile (apt-get update & apt-get install kodi-pvr-nextpvr results still to "Matrix"-Version. )

I reverted to PPA stable-branch, done a sudo apt update and saw an update for kodi-pvr-mythtv from 20.3.0-1~jammy to 6:20.3.0-6~jammy.
I upgraded, rebooted (just to make sure) and everything seems OK.
Thanks to wsnipex for his sisyphian work.

I was outside for a time. Yesterday I flagged the Nexus release as latest (I guess it was the root cause of this issue), and YES it is available in the PPA. Also I fully tested the addon with MythTV 33. So anyone could upgrade its backend without troubles.
