Is there a way to change what the 'spotlight' widget shows? At the moment it just appears to show random movies/shows but if possible I would like to be able to change to most recent releases for movies and in progress for tv shows.

Yes, you can. Just select the "background"... the one with smart text in the side.

Goto options > settings > customize home or hub. There's a options/menu in the side including background. Then choose widget and select what you want.

I don't trust my brother to not mess up everything if he go directly in add-ons settings that's why i created this for quick setup and troubleshooting. But it doesn't feel/look right to put it in home menu. I wish that there is a customizable window that looks like when you click the little menu button in the Settings. Then we can add it in "Options Menu". 🙏🙏🙏

You can configure the Options menu and add whatever you like
Skin Settings > Menus > Customise Options menu

The options menu is just the shutdownmenu dialog, so if you want to open it via a shortcut from elsewhere you can use:
ActivateWindow(shutdownmenu)

But yeah, the skew towards Indian shows on the TMDb popularity score has gotten particularly bad in the last year (having a billion+ people is going to skew things!). Not much can be done until the API supports region based popularity because most of the lists the API provides are sorted by popularity.

Not sure what you mean by "peliculasaleatorias.xsp" as this is not a file included with the skin.

However, a smart playlist can easily be edited to have a limit.

@jurialmunkey Loving the look of this! Are there any plans on adding a "more items" option for limited widgets like you have in AH2? Also when you play a movie and push all the way down past cast to movies/shows of the actor, you click on it and nothing happens, You need to long press for options.

The artwork uses "keep" aspect so that you can see the full artwork without it being cropped. The problem is that the skin currently is only built for 16:9 screens and you've got a wider aspect ratio on your phone. For the Youtube videos, that's because many youtube videos are 4:3 not 16:9.

Eventually hope to support other aspects properly but for now it is 16:9 only (you can still use other screen ratios but there will be display issues). By being deliberate about the left alignment, it actually should be possible to support variable ratios by simply expanding the horizontal -- but that sort of thing is very much on the backburner at the moment as my primary use is loungeroom TV.
