Deprecated Arctic Fuse
(2024-01-19, 00:46)CiRc2k5 Wrote: Fantastic Skin, just switched from AH2 the only thing I have not been able to find is how to see the status of the TV shows like you had with AH2, showing if the show was Returning, Ended, or Canceled. I think this is a great feature and has helped the wife avoid shows that have already been canceled.

The status shows in the ratings line under the plot. The date is next aired date if available, otherwise falls back to last aired (or premiered for a movie).

The icon next to the date shows you the status.
Check = Completed / Ended / Released.
Arrow hitting target = Continuing / Returning
Exclamation = Cancelled
Megaphone = Announced
Clapperboard = In-Production

I've been trying to use keymap.xml to control this behavior but it doesn't seem to be working.

Which window should I be referencing in the key map when I'm focused on the search input bar?

Thanks Big Grin

1105 is the correct window but I think Kodi hard-codes the edit control to absorb any "keyboard-like" button presses -- so there's no way to remap it the behaviour inside the control.

It frustrates the hell out of me too but I've kinda just learnt to accept it now. In the past I was determined to workaround it on my own setup, but only real workaround I found was changing the actual scan code mapping in the Windows registry to an entirely different button -- which isn't exactly an ideal solution.

Everytime I disabled Explore shortcut in skin navigation then I goto movie or tv show information - details to open recommendation, the focus is gone. I can't move using up, down, left & right buttons in my remote.
Perfect thanks for the explanation and great skin mate.
Hey Jurialmunkey. Arctic Fuse does not work well with the jellyfin for kodi addon mode (jellyfin as backend for kodi) for me. Changing the viewtypes for tv show seasons does not change the actual interface of the viewtype. It only shows the season poster but in a square viewtype. Even the addons dont change viewtypes (it does not change to list wall when I change from square). I have uninstalled arctic fuse and reinstalled but had the same problem. I do not think this is a problem with jellyfin as Arctic horizon 2 works fine with jellyfin when I change the viewtypes. (If season posters it will show seasons in poster and if it is landscape it will show the seasons in landscape).
New skin user, loving it, thanks ! 2 Questions is there a way to disable pvr groups? Back always take me to pvr groups , dont wont that. Can i disable channel numbers?

Gotcha. That's what I feared. Thanks as always for replying and answering questions! This skin truly is a work of art.

I can't seem to replicate this behaviour. It works fine for me. The dialog version is a separate window from the ondown one so the setting shouldn't really have any effect on how the dialog one functions.

I doubt it is the skin directly. This sounds like either a configuration error, a corrupted viewtypes file, or an issue with the content type the addon is setting.

How are you changing viewtypes? Make sure you are using the viewtype selector from inside the library view (press up to display the filter then find view button to the right).

It sounds like you are using the dialog in skin settings, in which case you are almost certainly setting the wrong combo of content type and plugin. The "view" button onup from the library view will take the guesswork out and automatically handle that for you to make sure you are setting the right rule for that particular folder.

There's also a slim possibility your viewtypes file got corrupted (should see a log error in this case though). You can reset the viewtypes to defaults by closing Kodi and then deleting the file:
kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.skinvariables/skin.arctic.fuse-viewtypes.json

The final possibility since you say it always shows square is that the Jellyfin addon itself is setting the wrong content type, as square viewtype is simply not a viewtype available for seasons in this skin -- so if you are seeing a square viewtype then that suggests a problem with the addon.

No to both currently, but I can add an option to disable it onback behaviour going to groups.

Disable channel numbers and display what instead?

I tested it again on my Zidoo Z9X with both ZDMC (Kodi 20.2) and Kodi Omega. The issue occurs only when the recommendations are empty and switch to 2nd widget (Release Year).

Yeah that'd be unrelated to toggling the setting. I think next version (4.58) should sort that out.

It's working well now. Thank you.

Is it possible to enable only the "categories slide up on focus" in Movie & TV Show hub but not in Home?

Skin is working great so far. Loads quick and looks great.

Still, I must again humbly request for an option in the video player that shows the show/ movie logo when paused.

Currently that is unavailable.

Fellow Jellyfin user here (using Jellycon) and I had a similar problem where it showed my library content as squares and there was no option for landscape or poster.

I've fixed that since. It's all to do with what you select as your target for the library when long pressing on that icon in the edit widgets page.

When my power comes back, I'll see if I can help you out.
