Release Digital Clock Screensaver 6.0.5 (Update 2.1.2024)
(2024-01-26, 15:13)vdb86 Wrote: New version!
6.0.5
- Added support for AeonMQ7 matrix mod, AeonMQ8 mods, for AeonMQ9, Arctic Zephyr - Reloaded, EllipsisUI, Embuary-Matrix, Mimic-LR, TetradUI, updated OSMC skin - thanks Ch1llb0 and petroid!
- Improved handling of no hour zero padding
- Added 2 more time formats
- Added support for turning off screen via CEC
"Added support for turning off screen via CEC" - how does it work? Does it means that when screensaver is activated then CEC signal (command) just turns the screen off?
Reply
You can define the time that needs to pass before the screensaver sends the cec command to turn off the TV.
This function uses Kodi cec commands, there's no special implementation, so on some platforms/systems it might not work.

My request: could you please add support for Arctic Zephyr: Resurrection skin, clock seem to be of default (small) size for whatever the size I set.

I'm currently a bit busy, please get the skin maintainer to send a pull request for changes that are needed - it should be pretty simple for them.
They need to create a new screensaver file that matches their skin name and then define the font sizes properly.
If they need any help, they can reach out to me and I'll assist them.

Hello! I've updated the translation in the Russian language file. I can't use GitHub due to their rather peculiar policies. Here's the link to the updated translation file. If needed, I'm happy to upload it to another location of your choice.

Additionally, regarding the following translation snippet, I'm unsure of its intended context:
po:

msgctxt "#32320"
msgid "Choose colon color and opacity - ]($INFO[Skin.String(screensaver.digitalclock.coloncolor.name)])"
msgstr ""

msgctxt "#32321"
msgid "Random colon color"
msgstr ""

msgctxt "#32322"
msgid "Random colon opacity"
msgstr ""

If you could provide clarification on what this translation is supposed to convey, I'd appreciate it.

Hi!
Kodi uses this for translation service as far as I know:
https://kodi.weblate.cloud/projects/kodi...italclock/
I don't deal with languages directly, this service creates pull requests that get merged.

Choose colon color and opacity - this is related to the colon : which is found between hour and minute.
Example 17:45
Users can choose color and opacity for the : OR have them be random.
Opcity is opposite of transparency.

I hope this helps, if not let me know and I'll see how I can help.

Got it, then I'll do the translation on the site you sent. And then in the header you need to correct the link to the translation because there is an incorrect one "https://app.transifex.com/teamxbmc/kodi-addons/screensaver-digitalclock/"
