Plugin currently does not download RT and Metacritic ratings.
The only supported ratings are IMDb and TMDB.
Can we expect a fix?

I would love to have the option to download movie poster in the original language.
Like with the movie titles (Preferred Title Language: Keep Original) it should give the option Preferred Poster Language: Keep Original.

I second that!

Would be nice... but have you inquired which site that offers posters for for free download would hold such info in a structured way so it could even be queried by a scraper?

This could simply be done through themoviedb.org.
The scraper should just consider the origin country of the movie, and then change the language of the poster media to that language when downloading.

Cannot install from Kodi repository "installation failed"
Cannot install from ZIP (current latest versiob v5.5.14) - "installation failed" "missing dependencies"

I honestly wish they'd improve Kodi's ability to install addons properly, and scrape files as well! Updated from Matrix 19.5 to Omega 21.1 and NONE of my artwork appears anywhere, and everything looks **** now! Thanks :\

Is anyone else having problems with the Critics Consensus coming up as N/A? I just did a fresh install of Kodi and now that field is seemingly not working.  All other categories such as RT Ratings and Metacritic work fine, just the Critics Consensus that doesn't.

Maybe @olympia can check it out.

I have the same experience. It appears that omdbapi no longer provides this information. I had used it along with plot outlines previously too, but now we’re only seeing N/A. It was working fine a few weeks ago, so it’s possible that Rotten Tomatoes might have requested the removal of this data.

@Karellen it looks like I have to remove this feature as well to 'fix' the scraper. I hesitated to do so during the last overhaul, hoping the data might be reinstated.
edit:
just to clarify: The Critics Consensus from Rotten Tomatoes is an optional feature, not a default. There are three other sources available for plot information (IMDb, IMDb Outline, and The Movie Database), and one additional source (IMDb Outline) for outline.

I could potentially scrape this information directly from the Rotten Tomatoes website, but if I recall correctly, that’s not permitted. They previously threatened us with legal action when we engaged in direct scraping if I remember correctly.

Got it, thank you both.  I thought it was something on my end that maybe I wasn't doing right, so it's reassuring to know that it's not just me.  Appreciate the insight and details olympia and Karellen. Smile

Exactly which setting is this? I can dig to see if this is a temporary issue or if it will no longer be available. I just don't see a setting called Critics Consensus anywhere in the scraper settings.

This is pulled through the Settings > Plot > Get Outline From menu where "Rotten Tomatoes / Critics' Consensus" is an option.

So are we waiting for Critics Consensus to possibly be restored or has it already been removed?

I've contacted the omdbapi maintainer about it, but I have not yet heard back.

It's been a few months, so I guess it's safe to assume we won't be getting Critics Consensus back?  Sad

I never heard anything back, so I assume not.
