Beta Arctic Fuse 2
Thanks for your nice skin!
I have two problem with it.
    1. If the TV channel icon is a png (white text with transparent background),  the text can't display clearly when the channel has selected. But the kodi default skin can show it clearly.
    2. Some CJK characters displayed as garbled characters, But the kodi default skin can display normally.

skin version 2.0.17

Thanks again!

I'm glad and super grateful that a lot of my mods (HDR tags, Modified info labels like Movies/TV/Episode, etc.) are getting popular.

(...)

I personally don't want to encourage AF2 modding right now. I would rather that good new features be added to the base skin so everyone can enjoy! (and not just a couple of enthusiast geeks like us lol).

Thank you @jurialmunkey and everyone for all the support! I am extremely grateful to this community!
I totally agree with your philosophy!

I fully support the idea of focusing on collective progress to ensure that improvements benefit the entire community, rather than just a few enthusiasts, for now. There is still so much potential for growth, and by working together, we can help evolve this skin in a way that serves the greatest number of people.

This is made possible in large part by Jurial's open-mindedness, who welcomes ideas and discussions with a thoughtful approach. His willingness to listen to the community allows Fuse 2 to constantly improve. Let's keep moving forward -> https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arc...iscussions

It will also be hidden if you select a different hub to use as the home window because then the option is no longer relevant.

Interesting. I’m on the default home hub in my firestick and have search/options enabled but don’t have the option to turn off the profile/icon. Under skin settings > menus, I only have a “side menu” option list and not the “home” option like my MacBook shows. I tried enabling another hub as home and turning the main hub back as home but that didn’t change it.

Check for updates. Possibly you have auto-updates disabled. Sounds like you're on an old version of the skin if says "Side Menu" instead of "Home".

Yup I’m officially an idiot lol. Probably should have checked that first. I just needed to update it for that. Much appreciated!

Yes,that's it. Can it be avoided? If yes, how?

I think this is just the new widget/hub loading animation. On AF1 it used to be a single row and the title + info used to be persistent until the new content finished loading.
Yes, that's it. Can it be avoided an if yes how? Thanks for your help, man

Best way to avoid it would be to go to Skin Settings > Other > Under "hide widget initialization behind splash" toggle on "Library"

Yeah this is the only way to hide it completely.

The reason it shows a wall layout instead of whatever the content will be is because the content type is not set in Kodi until after the content loads -- skin doesn't know what the viewtype will be until the content type is set. In AF1 it was less obvious because everything was a row.

1. I don't know what this is referring to.
2. There is a CJK fontset available in Interface Settings which will display CJK characters just fine.

@jurialmunkey
i know the GitHub has a full change log but may I suggest the first post gets a reduced change log of only major features added etc (none of the technical minutiae)

Sure. Who is going to volunteer to do it?

That sounds like just about the most boring thing I could do with my time. Rofl I'd rather spend time working on the skin than rewriting changelogs that already exist.

Many thanks. It worked.

Hi @jurialmunkey
Is it okay to have a fix size of capsule style highlight for menu or category instead of adapting in the length of text to make it more balanced? Also, when browsing on add-on like TMDb Helper. Instead of showing the name of add-ons at the left top side of the screen, It will show only "Add-on" just like in AF1.

It needs to be adaptive size to work as a top bar menu in the hubs (and using two separate styles looks bad/inconsistent).

You can fight @Officer KD6-3.7 over this one as that was his PR Wink

I'm wondering though why show a more generic label? The PR made sense to me to show which add-on you're using.

I don't really know. Haha... Maybe I just want to make it like one streaming app and not Kodi with multiple add-ons installed. My setup mostly I'm using it for streaming TV shows. And I'm using TMDb Helper for my widgets and most of my shortcuts. While my in-progress shortcuts, I'm using other add-on because it load much faster.

Wowww.... So this is what it feels like.... 😂.
I will now go ahead a cry myself to sleep. Thanks CouchGuy!

I can't wrap my head around how @jurialmunkey has been doing this for more than a DECADE. And I didn't even know Kodi existed until this year haha.
