Frodo is unfortunately out of the question (we are in feature freeze). My "current" WiP branch is here https://github.com/pieh/xbmc/commits/buttons_autosizing, but propably I'll firstly extend control positioning ( http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=137015 ) and using stuff that will come with it to easily add auto-sizing to some controls. Also adding support for numeric infolabels/skin vars for <posx> and later for animated control resizing will be quite easy then. But all that are post-frodo plans.

I don't think I have any build handy I can do it later today or tomorrow (depending if my changes would apply without conflicts). But keep in mind that this might still evolve and change, so don't rely too much on it.

This is demo only - bugs reports are welcome but unlikely to be fixed anytime soon.

In a matter of minutes I've got a grouplist with an auto-sizing background texture working perfectly!

How far off is this from being complete then?
