Sometimes I wonder just how many piracy related sources use my skin... A google search is very depressing.
Last thing I want to be associated with is something hurtful to Kodi and the XBMC foundation.

There should be no reason to not update to Isengard and use the latest version of both the skin and Kodi.

The hard work the devs do to update Kodi are more than worth upgrading for.

Not trying to sound preachy and I want to help out everyone that comes to my thread but those that are clearly posting issues or questions related to the unmentionable have started to dwindle the spark of enthusiastic helpfulness I wish to offer

The problem is Mike too many people are getting a hold of these so called "android" boxes not knowing a thing about Kodi and installing everything under the sun thinking they're the bee's knees because they can access anything and everyting at utterly rubbish quality.

You do an excellent job of updating the skin and answering everyone Mike. 90% of people in this thread are clued up on Kodi and how it works. Just ignore the bafoons streaming movies from some crappy coded add on at 480p

Playing local content (apart from radio or live tv) is the way Kodi should be ran in my eyes.

True i see someone selling a wizard on ebay for a kodi set up just horrific, and he has sold over 5 thousand of them :-(

Hi, just downloaded this skin. I'm unable to see korean/chinese characters, how do i fix this? the fonts at appeareance settings is greyed out

Which skin version are you using? There are 2 choices with the default Nox 5. One is blank for a Hebrew CatBoxNueue font and a 3rd choice in my version is Arial that I added when requested. I thought it could be used for korean/chinese characters...

If it is greyed out I think you are using either a really old version or not my Nox 5 skin mod ??

I said dwindle not extinguish and I agree I cannot even watch a movie in less than 1080 unless the movie is old enough or was filmed with significant Film Grain that a 720 transcode will do. If you could see the wall of DVDs that I have had to replace with BluRays...

The skin updating should not make you lose your existing settings. What are you losing when updating?

I believe I just experienced this myself. Skin was working great until last night when it seemed like "all of a sudden" I had lost the ability to see the recent episodes / recent movies widget in the expanded, tile format. I went into skin settings, and where I swear there used to be a heading for widgets, I now have none, nor can seem to find an option to restore the expanded tile widget.

Thanks for the update! I've noticed, though, that since installing this update, when I select Orange (or Red) for the color scheme, the text changes but the highlight remains blue. Since my global background is coordinated with the Orange scheme, it looks pretty awful with blue highlights.

When did you add VideoExtras to the context menu? I love it! Now if we only had some kind of flag to note when there are VideoExtras available... and also hide the menu choice when there are none available... we'd be sitting pretty!

I just added this for only the view pictured. Landscape I believe? If it works well for you I will add it for the other episode views. Let me know if it does what you want it too do

I deleted this line in my fork, so it is not an issue for me. But others might appreciate it.

Change the version number in addon.xml to something very large. You will then have to update manually.

Alternatively, you could fork the skin and suffer through the learning curve of updating your own skin using this method.

Something I've noticed for a while now - When starting a trailer from the video info window there is an animation that slides the video info contents off to the sides reveling the actual playing video. The problem I've noticed many times is that if the trailer is a local video, the video seems to start playing before the animation is complete. I've seen this result is either the animation being very choppy or, in the worst case scenario, the animation completely stops having slid only half way off the screen and just hangs there blocking a good portion of the video playing behind it.

The few times I've I played a trailer that was a youtube link, the animation always slides out of the way smoothly and completely. I suspect that it may be because it takes a second or two for the video to actually start streaming (as opposed to a local file) which gives enough time for the animation to complete. But that's just a theory.

I cannot replicate this either. When I play a local trailer the info screen has no closing animation and the trailer just plays on top immediately. What version of Kodi, skin version, platform...??

I experience this issue on both my Chromeboxes running Openelec (Kodi 15.1) and my Windows 10 desktop (also Kodi 15.1). I am running Aeon Nox 5: Silvo 5.7.4-2.0.7 on all of them. I also had the same issue running 5.7.1-2.0.4 if it matters. Some times when I play a trailer it works as you describe, but others you see the animation smoothly and other times it jerks and stops. I've seen it stuck half way open through the entire trailer before. Here is a crappy cell phone video I took of it happening. This is playing a trailer from my NAS, not a Youtube stream:
