Is the FTV skin mod, still catered for the FTV stick or TV?... or for the PC etc. only? I ask because Its very unusable on a firetv, or Shield or FTV-stick. Very sluggish, freezers a lot takes a long time to load & all sub menu running sluggish it takes about a sec before it goes to the next selections. any idea on how to fix
I tried on:
- firetv freezes and sluggish.
- Fire Stick unusable, will restart and freezes a lot, extremely sluggish on sub menu once I was able to get it to work than freeze
- Nvidia Shield - works ok - takes a long time to load, sub menus still very sluggish but it works.

I do not use any Fire TV device.
It works well on the RPi2 and smooth as hell on my HTPC.
What you can try is to disable the preload option.

Change the layout to square or square info and it will be fine.

Hi sualfred - thanks for your quick response... here's more info on sluggish. I will try to take a short video soon to demonstrate the problem.
the sluggish seems to be more pronounces - mostly on sub menu between widget 3 & 4...
The Loading shows a slight improvement when disabled.

I tested in some Video Addons like 7TV. On my FireTV with Kodi 16RC3 i can't set the wide viewtype for episodes.
I can only choose between Poster and Quadrat. And also if I config the viewtypes to 55 it doesn't work.

How many widgets do you have in total?

I use the full potential of the skin available widgets... 12 on menu and all 8 on each sub menu.
