And again, I know it may not make any sense, but removing all background=true from this test version and it runs MUCH better. Very useable in comparison.If anyone wants to try it, here:

Huge difference using this xml file in the UX. The animations using the latest github would freeze and then jump to the next widget block. With this xml file copied over the latest github, I see much smoother animations on the Shield. It's not completely smooth but is nearly so.
