It contains XMBC.It indicates "J1nx" "hackable gadgets" at the splash screen Anyone know what i'm dealing with?

You need Android Lollipop 5.0 as a minimum OS for Kodi Krypton.
Find out which version of Android you are running by looking in Kodi > System > Sysinfo > Summary > Operating System
