And only can crashes because "this" feature and not other oneHuhHuhHuh?

By the way, other users have reported similar problems on Kodi v18.9 and not has "this" feature:

https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=358386

Anyway I agree that debug log can be useful.
apologies i hope it didnt come across that i was accusing your merg as the issue i simply posted it in here as it was 1 of the main changes in kodi 19 and since i had tried it on kodi 18.9 and it worked fine there i thought it may have something to do with the new features that had been added i have created a log and will include the link here its https://pastebin.com/n1ePdzY5

Has anyone made a build for this using a Ryzen 2400G with the just the Vega graphics?  Any shortcomings or should I look for something stronger.  The front page and several in this thread mention NUCs and a couple nvidia mentions.  If it's no good, will any of the series 10 NUCs work, with freesync?
Thank you in advance!

This log does not have debug level enabled. Go to GUI Settings / System / Logging and enable "debug logging" option and capture again.

Also skin.aeon.nox.silvo v7.9.6 needs to be removed for testing purposes.

And upload new log better to https://paste.kodi.tv/ instead of pastebin

I don't see anything strange but I think the problem may be related to the DXVA2 decoder or the graphics card driver.

Try playing a file other than HEVC (AVC or x264 is fine).

Try disabling DXVA2 from GUI Settings / Player.

If crash is only with HEVC or disappear when disabling DXVA2 this confirms that is graphics driver related. Then try to install or reinstall the latest NVIDA driver (457.30) with clean installation.

Install it selecting Custom (Advanced) install options and check "perform clean installation":

i had already done the reinstall of the latest drivers using the clean install method you suggested, i tried what you said by playing a x264 file and can confirm that it doesnt crash on any videos i play in that format but as soon as i play a x265 file it will either crash on start of the video or it will crash when i go to stop that said video or for example i have a family guy playlist i have made and when it goes to play the next episode in the playlist it will just crash straight to desktop so definately something happening with the x265 side of things, its weird as it plays all the x265 fine on 18.9 but i rely on the kodi 19 now for my hdr movile and tv show collection Sad appreciate the help so far by the way and the suggestions

Not particulalrly to 4K HDR as I dont have that yet , but this crash happens (in my experience ) if there is a conflict between the video &  Audio decoding from the HEVC file. See What your audio settings are and play around those to see if it helps. Play the file using directsound if you use WASAPI & vice versa + look at how you have setup audio in windows , your video driver ( Nvidia e.g.) and in Kodi.  then look at your logs & post a debug log here .Hope this helps.

cheers for the message mate i managed to get issue sorted thanks to jogal helping me on my other post he had found an issue in how kodi was working with the amount of cores my cpu had and he made a tweak and give me a test build to try which worked perfect so the fix is now gonna be in beta 2 of kodi 19

Works, it's good enough with dual channel ram

Thanks again on your fantastic work on bringing HDR Support to the kodi WIndows platform. It works great on my nVidia GT1030 that I had mentioned earlier in the thread

I have one question though.
When watching HDR content with external SRT subtitles, the subtitles are rendered too bright. This is pronounced in dark scenes affecting the experience. Is there any way to control or reduce the brightness of the subtitle text when in HDR mode.

If the subtitles are PGS (graphics) and come from a UHD HDR Blu-Ray they will already have the appropriate color.

If the subtitles are SRT (plain text) you can change the color to dark grey from Kodi => https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2871524

If the subtitles are PGS and they are pure white it is because someone has added them later and they do not come from an original HDR source.

I am using the Asrock Deskmini with
AMD Athlon 3000G, Radeon Vega Graphics, 4 cores 8.0 GB of RAM at 3840x2160 32Bit at 59Hz

abd that works great.
