I've used Kodi for six years on my shield and I've never had to mess with it. Today when I got up it had updated to a new build and none of my movie files are visible on a plugged in portable HD. The folders appear, but no files. I've had no luck going through all the settings. Any advice? Thanks

Thank you so much I had identical problem and totally didn't know that I had to do it in permissions. One thing perhaps they can do since it's out of beta automatically ask for any necessary permissions upon install and first opening. Because unless you know what to do it's kind of hard to configure it now.
