rev 18272 - MS Lite - 5-7 MB free RAM in media preview (fanart off)
rev 16762 - MS Lite - 15-18MB free RAM in media preview (fanart off)

Home Screen - 18 MB (rev 18272) vs 25 MB (rev 16762) of free RAM

Had to build libraries from scratch cause older libs won't work in newer builds and vice versa.

so this is probably the problem i am having with movies just randomly stopping memory prbs though i use PM3-HD in 720p i may look through the svn revisions to see when it changed and make a custom build of the new one if i can get it to work see if this fixes it.

Yes but it was MUCH worse. Absolutly NO fanart would display for me in Movies or TV shows and nothing would play.

Oh and thanks for not getting pissed about my post Arnova... I tried to be as constructive as I could but it still came off as full of attitude.

Yes, but the question is whether the problems you experienced with the February build where also due to out-of-memory. This is something we really have to isolate...

ps. Note that I'm not pissed that easily (it's bad for my heart/health) ;-) I'm only grumpy (like Spiff) sometimes...

If i understood the thread correctly, there are basically 2 problems:

1. Memory usage has increased to the point where using other skins than the default one makes xbmc on xbox unusable.
*I created a trac ticket for that problem here:
http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/6045

2. User settings/ Library needs to be rebuilt, for some reason the old ones cause instability.
*Delete everything related to XBMC and start over from scratch with the new 03-04 build.

NPs will let you know what i find out.

ok 17799 is the culprit i jumped to 69mbs on this build lol stuff started not showing and it froze.

January build starts with 30MB and drops to 18 MB in Home after some menu scrolling and in Media Preview i get 20-21MB of free RAM.

In February's build i get 12-16MB in Home and in Media Preview 5-8 MB of free RAM.

Strange is when i press info on the remote (in Home) free RAM goes to up 25-27MB.

EDIT: After testing i revert back to my original build, from Dec, and the library doesn't work anymore :|

I'm using T3CH XBMC 2009-03-04 SVN rev18221 and have some problems with the library. I've tried resetting the library and then rescan.

I'm using Horizon lite (special xbox mod)

Note: I name the directory to "XBMC-2009-03-05-T3CH" but it is actually the 2009-03-04 build. 2009-03-05 is the date when I put xbmc on my xbox.

It's a thetvdb.com issue. You might want to increase the curl timeout values (+5) and test again. (see http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Advancedsett...network.3E for more information)

I've changed the value to 60, but that didn't help. I've also tried refreshing a single show. But it didn't work.

We will need a build to test after the merge, if anyone can get the message to T3CH he can release a extra build
