Hello Hitcher,

I have big problems with VIDEOS and FAVOURITES section. Every time i click them it goes black.

I have installed my XBMC Live fresh and installed Alaska Revisited 2.93 but not succes. Do i miss something here?

I am a noob here sorry.

Wrong version of XBMC, you must use 2.7.6 for Live. If you want to use anything newer you need to learn to use the nightly version of xbmc. The advantage is that you can have the latest skin and xbmc code, the disadvantage is that sometimes things break and it might take a version or two to fix them.

If you want to use a stable version stick with live but use Alaska.Revisited 2.7.6.

oh and about the other issue of the ENTER key not working, i figured it out. bear with me lol i'll use the Apple trailers as an example.

If i make a custom item on the homepage with the apple trailers, the enter key does not play the trailer.

however if i access the apple trailers addon through "Video add-ons" it seems to work perfectly!

I'm pretty sure Apple Trailers through custom item worked fine before I updated XBMC to the latest pre-11.0 (Linux build from March, 19th). Weird.

great skin and very fast. I've always used aeon, but this skin is much more user friendly and much faster.

I use xbmx for listening music and watching movies.

Is there a possiblity to show fanart as visualisation during music playback?

Installed latest nightly for Mac (xbmc-ff701de-master-x86.dmg) from here:

Alaska is also the latest version - 2.9.3


When entering favourites or video section everything goes black.

Any ideas?

you need to be running something from 3/17 or later. that's only from 3/06.

Yes there is however its not part of the skin I modded mine to play from a specific folder and it plays the Viz over the top of the pic.

I am trying to get lasted nighly build for my XBMC live .. till now not succes.

But i installed on Windows and it worked hmm maybe i am gonna use version 2.76. Does any1 have version 2.89 for me?

For people who use XBMC Live and like to upgrade to Nightly Build? I made this nice guide!

1.

Code:

[b]sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/unstable[/b]

2.

[b]sudo apt-get update[/b]

3.

[b]sudo apt-get install xbmc[/b] (Thanks to Gekados)

or

Code:

[b]sudo apt-get upgrade[/b] (upgrades all packages)

4.

sudo reboot
