Great skin, works perfectly on my windows box. I used this opportunity to finally update my openelec box from 2.0 to 3.1.5 but unfortunately the thumbnails for recently added media don't appear to work on linux.

I tested the original xperience1080 skin to try and figure out what was going on, but the indicators kept spinning forever without ever loading any images, so it seems like the issue may go back to the parent skin. Thumbnails and fanart are working correctly in library mode, and recently added thumbs show up correctly in confluence, so it does appear to be related to the skin somehow.

I've been looking through the debug log but I can't see anything obvious. Any ideas?

Edit: How about this?

I've just tried the 3.0.6 stable version and it seems to be working correctly, so looks like it's not a problem on your end. Apologies.

Just noticed an inconsistency, the custom item has been removed from the home menu but custom still appears as a configurable option in the backgrounds menu.

Is the custom menu item still an option in the future?

It should still be there. 'Skin Settings > Home > Manage Categories > Custom". The option just doesn't fit in the dialog box so you have to scroll down (I really should make it bigger Wink )

Apologies my bad forgot that custom item is only available for now in simple view

,,and I already updated your new changes.
Strange. Something must have gone wrong when you updated because both simple and panel home use exactly the same code for the submenu items now. You might need to delete the skin and re-clone the repo (you wont loose your skin settings because xbmc stores them elsewhere).

I noticed that one dialog screen (for the subtitle delay setting during playback) was missing, don't know if you were aware of this?
Anyway, great skin kep up the good work Smile!
Excellent. I was wondering if it would even run on a pi. If you change the effectsslowdown setting in skin.arctic/addons.xml it may help with making it feel a little snappier.

Ah. I accidentally deleted the image for the background of the slider when I was doing the cleanup. Its back now.

I do not want to waste your time and previously I have been searching in this thread for some question related with this, but I have not found results.
I do think that it would be good to have an option to switch the rating in the info tags at the bottom of the screen to a number. I'll add it in when I get a chance.

No problem. Customisation of the home categories is next on my list once I get the last few menus done.

To everyone who uses simple homescreen:
I'm thinking of making a couple of changes to the simple homescreen so that it is consistent with the rest of the skin (namely, I'm going to be removing the glass edging). However, I'm wondering on what peoples thoughts are regarding whether it should extend the full width of the screen or have a slight gap like the panel. This is what it would look like:

I personally like the gap.
+1 for the small gap. I like that the profile icon and indicator / totals are now located down on the bottom panel.

Okay I've committed the changes to git. I think it looks much more consistent with everything else this way.

Yeah, much much better there (you can actually still read it if the background image is dark.). Also good to use that space now that I've removed the power button from there.

I added an option to switch the info tags at the bottom of the screen to show a numeric rating. "Skin Settings > Views > Prefer Numeric Rating". Its at the very bottom of the list so you have to scroll down to see it.
Yeah like the changes to the Simple home screen and prefer the gap, looking forward to installing latest GIT after work tonight
Thanks for rating in numbers. Works perfectly!
jurialmunkey could you add the rating in the OSD (for video and songs)?
jurialmunkey please could you add the metro home?

Thanks
Is there anyway to customize the main menu options ?

Ie, I use Smart Playlists to separate things, so I have a Movies | Kids Movies | 3D Movies Playlists.

With some skins I can change the Movies so it opens "Movies Playlist" or I can add the Playlists as Menu Items.

I figured out how to add them to the Movies Submenu but not how to add them to the main menu (if its possible)

Thanks anyway, even if its not possible. This is a gorgeous looking skin.

Thanks for your quick response!
I'll update the skin when i get home to get the background for the slider back Smile.
I'll also look into editing the effectsslowdown setting in addons.xml. I assume this is a value i can lower to dimish the effect? I'll try a couple of settings and will report back!
