forgot to mention I can manually mark as watched through the add-on though
Almost sounds like the service may have crashed.

Post a log please - no need to turn any debugging on.

Yep.

How do you combine Media Browser and XBMC together?
When you install these two you have still two separate media centers?

I don't know what you mean.

MB3 is the server, XBMC is the client. The server and client can be on the same machine or different machines. I suggest you just install both and try it.

What I mean is if I install XBMC (Frodo for Windows) it works on his own. So how can it use the MB3 server?
Really sorry mate, I am not sure what log you mean? XBMC? Mediabrowser?

If I mark an episode as watched manually it is fine...
I have to go to work for a couple of hours so am going to presume you mean the xbmc log which for some reason is 160MB!!

I have zipped it and here is a link to it on my dropbox

Many Thanks
Errr - that is huge.

Please quit out of XBMC and relaunch. Start a video, and fast forward to the end (95%) and hit stop. Then post the log (which should be a lot shorter!).

Thanks,
xnappo

Through the AddOn.

MB3 replaces the XBMC database so you can have a shared database between multiple machines/devices.

Hi Mate, I did what you said & it is now working perfectly lol, don't know what happened but exiting and restarting XBMC fixed it so will have to keep an eye on it!

my 160mb log file was full of metadata! for all my music, TV shows, Movies, everything! any idea what is going on there?

Cheers Matey

You must have debug logging on in the AddOn settings. Definitely turn it off - it makes it a lot slower.

Yes - please do keep an eye on it - if the 'server' part of the code is crashing we need to fix it. That codes restarts only when XBMC restarts.

Hi Mate,

I looked at the settings for both the addon & XBMC & debugging is definitely off so not sure how it is happening?

Also another question mate is the mouse support? My Media Center In The Living Room Uses A Remote & All Is Good, but on my test xbmc on my desktop I use the mouse all the time & it works perfectly :-) Why does it say mouse not supported any ideas? (I know you work on the plugin but wondered if you knew?)

Cheers again..
Hi Fella,

Just had XBMC running for a few minutes and my log file is already 9MB, everything looks normal until the point below & then it is thousands of pages about my media... any ideas if XBMBC3 is doing this?

Regarding xperience1080++ and mouse - ask im85288 on his skin thread - it has nothing to do with XBMB3C.

Regarding this meta-data... May need to get @null_pointer to take a look - but please post a full log (the 9mb one!).

Hi Mate,

Since I last posted I have just been watching the latest Top Gear & again the episode did not get marked as watched :-( If I exit XBMC & restart then forward through the episode or mark as watched it will work, it looks like the massive log file may have something to do with it?

Whilst watching Top Gear the log file grew to 19MB & I have zipped it up & the link is below... I copied the log straight after watching

Hope you can help! :-)

Hi Mate, I am so sorry to be giving you all these problems but its all worthwhile :-)

Remember we spoke about my parents machine 100 miles away trying to watch my server through the add-on? This is the log from immediately after startup and trying to watch a program then exited (interestingly suffering the same fate as me with the large log file problem with all the metadata!) He is able to watch everything on my Mediabrowser server on the internet using the mediabrowser theater software, just not through the add-on (which is out goal) The add-on was set to "Stream" in this case)

Please let me know how you get on :-)

I don't really see anything wrong - certainly we need to have some of that junk into debug prints, but that doesn't explain why your 'marked watched' isn't working right.

I'll have null_pointer come over and give a second opinion.

BTW I will be out of town from tonight through the 15th.
