Kodi 19.3 is still in the Play store. Is there a safe way to get 19.4 on my chromecast with Google tv? I really don't want to use shady downloaders or jailbreak things.

I installed Kodi from the google play store and have been using it for quite some time. If I go through the process of installing 19.4 (using a downloader), will that fix the voice typing bug?
When I say "voice typing bug", I'm meaning when a keyboard appears on the screen to search for something, i used to be able to press and hold the middle button of the remote and talk into the remote and it would type that into Kodi.

Yes and it has Android 12 with framerate matching.. very keen to understand if this works with Kodi.

I think we worked through this didn't we? The frame rate matching in Android 12 was support for the HDMI 'no picture disturbance on frame rate change' feature wasn't it? The Android TV API already supports frame rate switching - though not all platforms support it (such as the original Google Chromecast with Google TV) and few apps do (Kodi a notable exception)?
Or am I misremembering?
No sane platform will offer OS-level fully automatic frame rate matching (Roku had to disable it for some apps like Netflix when they implemented it), but instead will offer something like the tvOS system of app controlled frame rate matching with OS support to enable or disable the feature. (The issue is autoplay trailers causing repeated re-syncs as you switch between 23.976, 25 and 29.97 trailers)
So does it really work automatically in Kodi?

I can confirm. 4K HDR now works on my non-4K TV. Finally!
Când You try to play a full HD movies? After android 12 update some of my movies brake the image ecery 2 sec. In android 10 whey work fine all of them. Is anyone else having this issue with playback of certain movies?
