New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread)
1.3.0.9 If I pick duplicates and delete all black ones (fake directory ones) and delete they are not coming back like in other version. However it would be nice if bulk renamer just renamed all files and not make duplicates in the first place.

If you rename one at a time it just renames and no duplicates made in list.
Will you be able to add the option to export watched status and import?

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.
Wouldn't watch status be only useful if you use XBMC Controller to connect with XBMC? Dan said he didn't have time to rewrite XBMC Controller to support JSON because it was change for Frodo.

Since then a team has started working on Ember so maybe some one is redoing the controller. Smile

Export from Ember to XBMC might work if we save the watched state to nfo and doing a library scan in XBMC which should consider the nfo.
I have submitted the code already to github.Ember will save watched movies as <Playcount>1</Playcount> to nfo of the movie when new watched checkbox is clicked. Let's see if that works...

Import of watched state from XBMC To Ember is not possible I think - at least it smells like a whole lot of work. My idea was to "import", sync the state of your watched movies between trakt.tv and Ember. And we know there's a working trakt.tv addon for XBMC which sumits watched state to your personal trakt.tv account so using trakt.tv as connector between XBMC and Ember should work.
I even created a trakt.tv. module for Ember but only for my personal use. It works but really needs some polishing, so I won't publish that soon I guess Wink

Dan, will there be a way with the new version to "fix" the various artwork that is currently not compatible with the Frodo naming conventions or will we have to clean all of this up manually?

I made the jump to Frodo and observed that quite a lot of TV season artwork as well as clearart, etc, is completely borked... I'm hoping I can avoid a lengthy cleanup/scrape project to fix it all.
Is there a way to have this auto scrape new tv shows/movies? I have it running on my server and would love it if I could just leave it open and when I put a new episode into its folder it would scrape. I have no problem doing the initial series to make sure it is correct but I am lazy.

I have Eventghost setup to monitor my Movies for the addition of new movie folders, at which point it triggers Ember to auto-scrape. I haven't looked into monitoring for individual file additions, as would be the case for TV Shows, because I don't use Ember for that, but I'm sure there's a way to achieve it. If you'd like I can send you the XML settings file for Eventghost.
Is there a way to update to the latest version of emm and retain all old sources as I have quite a few located in quite a few hard drives?

Normally you can copy settings.xml, advancedsettings.xml, media.emm and the temp folder to the new version.
Hi All

I'm a new user of EMM and I must say I love it. There is just a couple of problems I'm having.

In Settings/TV Shows/Files and Sources I cannot select Show Banner (banner.jpg). Is this future functionality or do I need to change some other setting.

On the main page the Scrape Media button is greyed out. Why is this?

Thanks

Ember don't support save banners as banner.jpg atm.
The scape media buttons support only movies atm. Use right mouse button the scrape TV shows (you can select more than one).
Question:
I was looking into the image scrapers and discovered that MPDB is http://www.movieposterdb.com/
but from that site you need to purchase credits to download images Sad

Is it useful for anyone? otherwise we can simply remove it
Or I can simply fix it Tongue

Hey Dan,

You mentioned previously that adding banner support, and other YAMJ functionality is something you could do. Can you give us an idea of when you might be able to start working on that? Thanks for your hard work.
