[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
changing the row count is easy but you have to modify pstvl itself not the skin. i made a skin for the original ptv with 3 rows but since we have the video window now i don't see a point in messing with the rows. and if you did change the row count next time you update pstvl it will be back to 6 anyway unless luna changes his code in pstvl to 3 rows.

Yeah I got you on that. But the code i posted was part of the skins code, not program itself. Gotta keep it simple for sure. Otherwise the forum will be bombarded with questions (me includedTongue).
yes i know it is part of the skin code but you have to change the actual plugin also.

I think we're having a communication error here man. Rofl I know how to change it. I was asking luna if he figured out how to have the program read from the skins epg.xml file to detrermine how many rows to display.

Yes, I got that, but I think that the autotuned Last.fm channel doesn't work.

Is it possible to add a channel from an m3u playlist?

Not directly, but you could add each link within the m3u as a strm.

::Feedback::

I would appreciate feedback on how we can improve on community list autotuning... I'm interested in adding sub categories, but I'm not sure of the best way to do it.

PM me your gmail, you will be added as a contributor to https://code.google.com/p/pseudotv-live-...ce/browse/

This will be the home for a few lists that will build autotune channels. Unlike livestream that aggregated illegal direct streams, my list will primarily be made up of youtube channels, playlists and XBMC plugin configurations that work.

Your job... is to maintain the list! amend the lists... add, remove links. PseudoTV Live will build directly off these lists. Please try not to leech, if you have a working personal configuration... share with the community!

For more details visit https://code.google.com/p/pseudotv-live-community/

Almost everyone that uses PseudoTV Live at some point adds a plugin, youtube or rss channel... All I ask...join the community, add your configuration to one of the four community lists (addons, rss, youtube channels, youtube playlists).
The new "Community" autotune feature will build off those lists... regular contributors will be rewarded for there contributions.

Can anyone help or give some tips/tricks for getting bumpers to work?

For example, I've got the channel up and running for 'Smallville'. My custom logo works and appears fine but bumpers won't play. I've tried with both a smart playlist and just using the TV Shows category for the channel creation. The bumpers are stored in a folders on my external hard drive with all my media. I've named the folder 'Bumpers' and then have a folder in there named 'Smallville' with the bumper files under that. In the settings I've turned bumpers on, pointed it to the 'Bumpers' folder and set it to include 1 per time. Anything I'm missing? Do the files themselves need a special name? Thanks for any help.

If the channel existed (was created) before you turned on bumpers you need to force channel reset, or wait till PseudoTV Live automatically recreates the channel, inorder to see changes to the channel... That goes for any channel you are trying to add new media too...

I'm a bit of a noob so hopefully this isn't out of place. I'm still having problems with my videos starting at the beginning when I change the channel. I've read that it can have something to do with external subtitle files, unfortunately, this is not the case with my situation. Most of my movies are mkvs and there is a collection of other types (mp4, avi, etc) and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it decides to restart the video. For instance, sometimes it won't start at the beginning, but if I change the channel and return, it may or may not reset itself. Sometimes it will start at the beginning and if I return it will continue as normal. Sometimes it will start from the beginning and if I return it will start at the beginning again. Like I said, there seems to be no cohesive reason for it.

I'm running openelec. If there is anything I need to provide or any way I can help, please let me know. Thanks.

Sub categories will be great for YouTube channels but i'm afraid it won't work that good with playlists.
I took a look at that list and it's mostly a bunch of shows by seasons.
The problem is that auto-tune will probably create a channel for each entry while all playlists from the same show should be in one channel.
Even then I guess some users don't care about a channel for only one show, so we need interleave these playlists.

My suggestion is to allow users send their actual configuration for channels straight from the setting2.xml.
Making sure to add a description for each channel and if it depend on any add-on or something.
Hey Luna,

I'm having some issues with USTVNOW channels causing XBMC to not respond and freeze. It seems to scrape and parse the shows just fine, I'm able to view all channels from the 9.9.9 USTVNOW plugin, but when I change from a custom playlist or youtube channel to the USTVNOW channel, I get the first frame and then everything freezes up.

I tried a full re-install of PTVL, Gotham, and the dependencies and updated my donor features, and am still experiencing issues. Here's my most recent log. Thoughts?
