I seem to have a strange problem with Mr. V. widgets v3 skin and extra info. When I go to show info, actor info, etc., there's no text displayed. If I click on the plot area to pop-up the text, it shows, if I set the add-on to force native view, it works. But there's no text displayed out of the box. I've uploaded some images below. The first is where the plot should be, and the second while browsing the tv show actors. The issue is the same regardless of the media, local or on-line content, etc.

This started to show up when I updated to Jarvis Beta 3 (from Beta 2). Around the same time, the add-on updated to version 4.0.0. While researching why it broke, I saw mikesilvo's test branch for extrainfo version 4, and tried copying over the two related .xml files, which didn't work, so I've reverted back to the original files. I'm not even certain that this problem is related to the Mr. V branch specifically, it might have something to do with the Silvo mod in general. I also have Madnox (fixed for Jarvis by mikesilvo) and MQ6 (3.2.0) installed, and they have been working correctly. Any ideas as to what's the problem?

What widget is it and can you post your script-skinshortcuts-includes.xml file for download? If you do post the file please do not paste it into the forum but instead make it downloadable on pastebin or something.

I updated to latest git and renewed the widget. Now the widget is working

I also tried the new color selector: You missed the TV-section. There is still the "old" selector-bar (I don't know how to call it). I set the color of the selector to "red", everything is working as afar as I can say, instead of the TV-section. The sideblade-menu is fine. I'm using "smalllist" with 13/14 (?) channel-entries. I can't do a screenshot, because my wife is watching TV atm.

I am using the version from the repo and I tried zipping it from my kodi addons and it won't install. A friend of mine has the same problem with that version and the github version.

Here is one of the reasons merging Mr. V Widgets is gonna be a hard thing to decide... I am constantly tinkering and changing things. I feel like I could be constrained when I want to try and change anything out of fear of messing them up. I also only want to change things that I feel comfortable with and not just alter whatever I need to in order to make the widgets work, like the current dilemma with the now playing widgets... I do not want this skin to "borrow" ideas from Aeon MQ. I am slowly starting to deviate from the design of Aeon Nox 5 but I love BigNoids design aesthetic, it is the reason I started using and modding it in the fist place, and many things are designed to be a little on the larger side so making a smaller now playing widget that is from Aeon MQ is not likely to be merged by me. I am not against a smaller widget but it cannot be a tiny thing in the corner... And now I am rambling.......

The extended info dialogs have already been fixed on Git but not for Mr. V Widgets. The extendedinfo v4.0 branch was not for testing, it was created so I could send a PR to BigNoid to help him update the Original Nox 5. I will try to rebase and update mr.v-v3 branch with my latest commits but if there are too many conflicts then I will have to abort and make a decisions as to what I will do...

To everyone else: Post some suggestions on what other skin elements should be able to be colored as you see fit. I will eventually use it for text and drop the themes in favor of the color customizer. So do not mention the text that changes with the theme cause I already plan on doing that

Have you read and followed the instructions from the first section of the FAQ on the first page?

Yes I did it correctly. It isn't a dependencý error. It acts like It's going to install and eventually says failed.

Ok, you lost me... What are you trying to do?

You said, "I tried zipping it from my kodi addons and it won't install". This statement only makes sense If you are using banned add-ons (wiki) and repos and trying to use crappy backup software not provided by or supported on the Kodi.tv forums.

If that is not the case why have you not tried to install it manually by extracting the contents and placing the skin in your addons folder?

You need to change the name of the skin in addon.xml for the Mr. V v3 branch. It has the wrong skin name.

Also, the variable for the label in ExtendedInfo DialogVideoInfo in variables.xml needs to have the (movie.) reference removed from the movie.set.label.

Why do I need to change the addon id? I think Mr. V's reason of being able to use both versions seemed valid.

I fixed the VARS for extended info and there was two more above the set ones. I also found a few other bugs here and there and the fixes will be pushed in the next few min or so.

We've been here before remember. I am using your mod to make skins. This is my 3rd. The other two were using an older version of the software. This one is your version ending in 9 and it zips, looks like installing and either gets a failed or installs only part of the graphics. I am not doing it via Kodi nor trying to put addons in it. I pulled the repo version off kodi. You told me it was ok to do it a couple months ago.
