So it seems like I need to buy new media box. I need one to play 4k and 3d iso. I think to choose between beebox s7200u and gigabyte brix. Which one do you suggest to take. Which one has better opinions and less issue's? Thanks for help!

If you do go with the Beebox, there's a HDMI firmware update available in the downloads page.

3D playback of MVC doesn't seem to be working on my HTPC. I have an Nvidia GTX 660 with an i5-3570 CPU. I'm using the latest Kodi 17 RC3 build. I should note that 3D with PowerDVD works fine. I've tried with the "Enable Stereoscopic 3D" driver setting on and off. I get farther with it on - my projector at least switches to frame packing mode, but there's still no 3D effect with movies. I tried switching to Hardware Based playback mode, which doesn't work. I also have Kodi set to ask me which playback mode I would like, but it doesn't.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Maybe my hardware is incompatible?

I saw that on Asrocks website, but it doesn't do anything with my Beebox-S. What is it supposed to do? I get a connection failure message.

Edit: it seems they deleted that HDMI firmware upgrade from their download section:

I had to connect it to HDMI 2.0 port, with resolution set at 4K@30 for it to work.

I read that the Nividia Shield got the "Software Experience Upgrade 5.0" yesterday, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Has anyone tested yet if this maybe brings MVC/frame-packed 3D to the shield finally?

It 100% doesn't - and never will by all accounts
