You are mistaken, this was never an option.
Even if it were possible (it's not, the API doesn't allow it) it would be a bad idea because the TMDb database holds almost 1 million movies (883,993 to be exact). Even just browsing the letter A would be several thousand movies and would be largely useless.
What you are confusing things with is the pre-built library layout. The prebuilt for library still contains the option to browse your personal Kodi library by letter in the movies hub.

Add Keywords All as a submenu list for the category and then enable the use as widget option.
You can see these advanced submenu options in widget customisation by clicking the submenu and selecting "Options" from the pop-up palette.
Only Movies have keywords on TMDb. TV Shows do not. Again I think you might be confusing this for the Library prebuilt options which has a "Tags" section in the hubs for the Library (not TMDB).
