Kodi Media Player Options with 3D MVC & HD Audio
TV rips are 29.97/59.94....I capture concerts from backhaul feeds that are 29.97 too. Tons of nice HD content. But it can't play properly on HiMedia. Boo!

I see another 170+ total BD's w/29.97 in AVC/H.264 here.

Just my opinion, but don't think 29.97/59.94 in VC-1/H.264 is a deal-breaker. But, maybe I'm wrong.
Linux / OpenELEC running on Intel gear has issues with Interlaced VC-1 content as well. It cannot Hardware decode it.
WeTek Core's mpeg2 25/29.97/50 Hz Interlaced playback is perfect.
Maybe we should all just blame Microsoft for this VC-1 issue !

What media is actual using 29.97/59.94 ?

All broadcast television in North America is MPEG2 29.97/59.94... However if the issue is with VC-1 only, then it is likely to be Blu-ray rips that use VC-1 encoding to carry native interlaced content - which is likely to be sport, music concerts etc.

In Europe we have issues because there is no 25p Blu-ray standard, so almost (*) all of our TV series shot at 25p are released 50i (with 2:2 pulldown) on Blu-ray. If VC-1 encoding is used rather than H264/AVC then we hit the interlaced VC-1 issue. Some BBC Blu-rays are interlaced VC-1 for example.

(*) The alternative is to do a 'Slow PAL' conversion where the 25p content is slowed down to 24p and the audio pitch corrected, allowing for a 24p release on Blu-ray. The first series of Downton Abbey was released this way in the US and the UK on Blu-ray.

looun just e-mailed me a short demo of a new UyeSee Hisilicon 3798M S1000 box, which appears to show full BD-Java menus supported. A UyeSee sales guy had recently contacted me, but had said no plans to release product outside China. Anyway, have contacted him back to ask about this box as it certainly looks intriguing...

That 'UyeSee' box is using a HiSilicon chipset from late 2014. '3798M'. It's the same as in the HiMedia M3.

The new 2016 HiMedia boxes use a new, and much more capable, chipset 'Hi3798C V200'. Some info on chipsets here (my site, sorry): http://www.iboum.com/artkill/chipsets.ph...idchipsets

this is a strage video where andorid box support full java menu

UyeSee S100 have new SoC Hi3798C V200, but i think it's NOT a good player stable and supported.

Just came across this thread, it looks like 3D MVC is working on Intel Hardware.

HiMedia 29.97/59.94 issue is across all formats, h264 and mpeg2 included!

hdmkv should really update his grid chart. I bought the Zidoo player based off his chart several months ago and when I got the box it ended up being a waste of $100 because it wouldn't even play BD ISOs lol. Something his grid chart said it played flawlessly.

usually for test i watch lot of DTS Demo Music DB ISO/BDMV that have format 29.97fps and h.264 without problem with last firmwares.
Can you give a sample?

Uyesee back in contact w/me. They apparently are close to prototype build of their 3798C SoC-based media player soon (assuming it's V200 as w/HiMedia Q10 Pro). Must be monitoring this forum Smile.

Talking about upcoming Q10 Pro, photo below... almost identical casing to current-gen Q10; only the "UltraHD" logo is new, replacing "3D"...

No. nVidia started a 3.0+ request thread here and many (myself included) have re-requested 3D MVC support.
