that's an interesting idea. I will try some tests out to see how it works.
I am going to try just dumping the user playlists. It should be easy to export single items and other playlists too with context items or something.
It would be nice to have them it in the xbmc library.
It would also be possible to save these videos themselves because they stream over http. I am not sure if this is a good idea though.

could you send me the contents of
http://www.vevo.com/loginmodal from your ip address. If it isn't finding that token then it might doing login differently.
When the user or password are incorrect it appear to succeed but gets a userid of 0. It will display Top 10 playlist in this case and not the users playlist.
I am thinking of making a feature to share playlists.
The playlists you make are by default public. You can access your playlist by going to my playlists on the site. It will direct you to a url like below.
http://www.vevo.com/user/profile/XXXXXX
The XXXXXX is your user id number. Since the default setting is to have your playlist public. You could share this id number to share your playlists with people.
Would anyone be interested in this feature? One could input a 6 digit user id and add another users playlists.
It would be awesome to be able to add friends playlist!
Also Vevo only allows facebook logins now so i am unable to use a login on xbmc.
that sucks.
i don't have or use facebook.
I will probably only support user ids in the future. no log-in at all.

I use to use my gmail account to login to vevo ( i don't have nor use Facebook either)
I use to get "My Playlists" working fine -
today i went into Vevo plugin and My Playlists had all like top 100 playlists etc ...
My playlists which are on vevo's website under my login name were no longer available under the plugin here ...
any ideas?

Great App ... Love my music vids
First off I would like to say that I love the VEVO add on and use it basically every day to listen to music and watch music videos while working. I wanted to start making playlists through vevo. but it seems that you can no longer setup an account unless it is through facebook. Does anyone know of a way to still do it by bypassing facebook so that we can use the playlist feature in the VEVO add-on. Or if we could add the facebook login details into the add-on. I did notice that Vevo does now say that they will be removing all users not connected to a facebook as well. Here is what VEVO now says when logging in:
We will soon disable all non-Facebook registered logins to VEVO. To get the full VEVO experience, please enter through Facebook. This way you’ll enjoy a richer experience while watching and sharing music videos and all of our other content.
I committed an update to disabled the website log-in and added a setting for your 6 digit user id.
This is so we don't have to do the website login in the plug-in to get your id. you also have to have your playlist public in your vevo settings.
if you click on videos --> my playlists on the website it will take you to your playlist page.
The url will look similar to below.
http://www.vevo.com/user/profile/XXXXXX
the bold part if where you user id is.
I will look into adding facebook log-in but I don't have an account right now.

I can't replicate the problem. I see artists and their videos fine in R&B/Soul
No need to be sorry. It might be an issue with the site or they just don't have any artists that start with U categorized as R&B/Soul. I believe the plug-in is working as it should though.
