can someone upload to a tracker (torrent)?
this way it would be way easier to download and maintain it alive.
cheers!
p.s. thanks, fistacorpse!
Also uploading to DropBox - it says it'll be done in 9 hours. If it has finished when I get up to go to work at 7AM (just over 5 hours from now), I will post details. Otherwise, it'll hafta wait until for an extra 9+ hours
Either way, RapidShare should hopefully be enough for a few people to grab it and rehost it - assuming that people like the OS and the image and want to share it
I've been running it for the last 3 or so days, and it's the best OS by far for the AppleTV. Much recommended :]
I have it running on a 16GB stick at the moment with no issues. Dropbox is still going ... will have to wait until tonight for that.
Fistacorpse,
First off thanks so much for posting the image, much appreciated ~~ I'm not so great with linux. One thing I can say, it sure does seem like a great image to be working with, loads up fast.
I am having the following issues though:
1) The Apple TV remote will not work with the image you've supplied. Holding '+ & Menu' for 5 seconds causes the 'pairing' notification to appear in XBMC but I cannot use the up/down/left/right/play arrows to navigate XBMC ... is anyone else having this issue ?
2) just after the 'OpenELEC' graphic appears I get text in the top right corner stating that sdb swap failed (or something .. ) appearing twice. I'll try to grab the exact error later.

I've had no issue with the remote, so I guess submit as a bug to the OpenELEC guys. There's a thread here for ATV bugs:
http://openelec.tv/forum/28-bug-reports/...v-bug-list
As for #2, if you SSH into your ATV and type:
swapon -s
That will list all of the swap partitions which are currently in use. If you don't see /dev/sdb4 in the list, try:
mkswap /dev/sdb4
swapon /dev/sdb4
swapon -s
And hopefully then it will show /dev/sdb4 in use.
I came home to find that my ATV running this image had crashed ... due to a bug in the auto-update script. Other than that, it has been running happily for days. Rebooted after the error and it (very quickly) booted back into XBMC ready to go
oh, and from my experience RapidShare is the worst option to upload files...
great! thanks
used fista's img
it works very fast.
The 1st time i restored the image it made it to the login at terminal
2nd time im only getting confluence on the top half of my screen and black on the bottom half a little weird
going for the 3rd restore (doing the 3rd with a low level format) i will let you know when it works which im sure it will bc usually the 3rd time is the
OK, I've finally managed to boot up OpenELEC using image posted above.
But as far as I can see it is just doesn't play any 720p content right - it skips relentlessly. I got 7-15 fps most of the time. Tried with or without hardware acceleration enabled (got CrystalHD installed) - it is just the same. Am i doing something wrong? I recall it was said that it can play 720p just fine. How can i switch to that noveau driver rendering?
Also - i can't switch resolution to 1080p24p - only got 1080@50 and 1080@60 options, and even when selecting 60Hz it still outputs 50 (according to my TV info).
Any ideas? Thanks!
Thank you for the image.
After some testing:
1. It's very fast system, but ... has someone real access to the file system with WinSCP?
2. I don't get a nfs share to work ...?
