I saw this come up once, it's rare, i wouldn't be able to reproduce it, but i can tell you that the offending movie poster dimensions was 2000x3000 96dpi

Thanks, I'm using Win 10. Here's some current examples displaying a taller poster, only one has the word ''movie'' in it though:
-The wonderful story of henry sugar
-The french dispatch
-The lego movie 2
-Thunder road

Maybe someone could create a dummy movie with one of these titles to confirm?

Hello! i have update the skin using kodi and after reset the skin and restore the version is still 14 not 15. I proceed like any other update. Anyone as same issue?

I forgot to change the mod # to 15. If you have the two new Extended Info buttons in the Top Menu, then you are updated to v15. Thanks for letting me know!

PSA for those running on Nvidia Shield. Several reports of issues with the PlayStore update to 20.3. You may want to disable auto updates (if you have it enabled) until the issue is resolved….JIC.

You're welcome! Hmm...you should definitely see a difference between the two. When you select the default extended info button you should see  at the top of the file script-script.extendedinfo-DialogVideoInfo.xml. The MQ 8 version does not.

As a follow-up. Manually updated Kodi Nexus on both my Shield Pros to 20.3. Have experienced no issues. Turned auto update back on on both my Shields.

Assuming the poster is loaded from AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\Thumbnails\, by searching the database files I was able to track down the posters. The dimensions are 480x720. This appears to be the same as the other movies that display correctly.

Not sure if it's a coincidence or irrelevant, but I did notice that they were all originally scraped from tmdb.org as opposed to fanart.tv.

Idk, these are my current settings below, If i have aeon MQ8 enabled and then enabled the extended version, I don't notice any change in the video info menu...which is fine in my case because i like the way it is, but i was curious what is different about extended vs not extended. I do see the banner at the top, indicating that something happened..but when i nav into the video info screen, nothing is different. Also, I cannot seem to toggle the extended info option off.

Can you check the properties of the poster.jpg image in the Movie folder of one that is showing a different size?

The two Extended Info buttons won't affect the Video Info screen...only the Extended Info screen when you select "EXTENDED INFO" in the Video Info menu.

None of my media folders (movies or tv shows) contain any artwork. I don't think they ever have in all the years I've been using xbmc/kodi? All movies are in individual folders so not sure why not. The only artwork I can find is in that Thumbnails directory

I added the Croation flag to the language flags. Thanks to Juan Mortyme for the request!

Bug fixes

The title was showing twice for Movies, Albums, Songs and Music Videos in their widgets. Thanks to Buff for reporting the bug!
The language/subtitle flags were not displaying correctly if the "Director/Writer" field was missing from Video Info. Thanks to MB1968 for reporting the bug!
View Type-31 (Wall) for Music was displaying in the Video lists.
