markec123 The log doesnt show you running the addon so I cant see which version, but for Kodi v14 Helix, you need v3 of the addon, it needs to be manually installed for now (I'll move it to the repo soon). Download on first page.
oh right, in spanish "living room" is "salón" with a tittle in the o, i'll change the name of the htpc user, thanks a lot! ^^
So i use my computer as a "htpc" and gaming machine.
I play on my screen(monitor 1) and have kodi on my tv(monitor 2) as a fullscreen window.
I wonder if i can somehow make this program run my games on my tv(monitor 2) when i feel like playing on the tv?
Hope my question makes sense.

@snyft You could use a pre steam script to wait for steam then move it to the 2nd screen, eg http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/52...d-monitor/
Oh and you can also change the monitor via steam bpm's display settings.
Okey so i checked it out.
Do i just put it in the steamlauncher.ahk?
Or is there some examples anywhere reading the .ahk makes me confused as hell lol.
Anyway i bound my monitor switch to F1 and want it to press the f1 before it goes to bigpicture and then after. My steam is already logged on in my computer. Hope that works fine and it just switches from bigpicture to normal.
Seeing as Kodi 14 has been released I've pushed the Helix compatible version to my repo, v3.0.3. Users that have installed my repo on a XBMC version prior to v14 will get a 'dependencies not met' - this is to prevent installation of a non compatible version. A XBMC v13 and below compatible version of the addon can be
found here.
Quote:3.0.3
Changes for Kodi / Helix 14 compatibility.
Fixed osx check for steam running in steam-launch.sh
Steam-launch-ahk.exe is now compiled with AHK_L.
Fixed issues with unicode paths.
Fixed Kodi windows detection + now uses window id instead of names.
hey,
after i upgraded from v13 to Kodi i ran into a problem. Everytime I leave Steam Kodi starts a second time (so I end up with two instances running). I already tried changing the path from xbmc to kodi, but that didn't help. I'm running Kodi on Xubuntu. Any ideas what's wrong?
btw: thanks for your work teeedubb
edit: i just updated to v3.0.3 and it seems it solves the problem.
Hey,
Ive updated to Kodi 14.0 and updated Steam Launcher to 3.0.4.
Steam launches fine, but the script does not close down Kodi, it continues to run in the background which I don't want.
Any ideas, or any logs I should provide?
@
D!Ck3n are you runninh kodi on top of a windows manager? What is the output of
DISPLAY=:0 wmctrl -l
?
@
j0rdan make sure you updated the built-in scripts. It should automatically ask if you want to update them but you can do it manually via the addons settings. If that doesn't work post a log file of running the add-on.
Can't get steam launcher working correctly next to KodiLauncher.
KodiLauncher is used as my default shell, so basically on startup my PC will boot and open KodiLauncher.exe which in turn opens Kodi.exe, instead of opening explorer.exe.
When Kodi is exited, KodiLauncher will start explorer.exe so that the PC can be used as usual.
So I cannot quit Kodi in a pre steam launcher script because that would look stupid if first you see windows/explorer popping up and then steam big picture.
In my mind closing kodilauncher and suspending kodi should work:
- Kodilauncher will not longer try to put kodi in focus
- Kodi is suspended and not exited so windows should not pop up
My pre script has these two lines:
Code:
pskill.exe KodiLauncher.exe
pssuspend.exe Kodi.exe
My post script has these two lines:
Code:
pssuspend.exe -r Kodi.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\KodiLauncher\KodiLauncher.exe"
Every time I use this steam opens in big picture and then after a second or so, Kodi comes back into foreground and it doesn't look suspended...
