The only light effect I can think of on the main menu is the weather effects. When it's sunny conditions, you will see streaks of animated sunlight if you have the weather effects turned on in Skin Settings > Visual Effects > Show Weather Effects > Show Sunny Animation.

Thanks to those that are assisting new users with installing the Add-on dependencies and the skin. I've had a busy week at work, and I just haven't been able to keep up on the forum. We have a great and knowledgeable community here that is willing to help out and I appreciate it!

I too have this issue, Skin Helper version 1.1.33

I have seen some people have mentioned once their SHS was updated to 1.1.33, they had to regenerate simplecachedb, but I cant find how to do that (pretty sure Im not using simplecachedb plugin as it is not shown in any addon list)

I keep getting "Skin info service" error in top left corner.

@latts9923 - Something I found that may be a bug. If you have weather effects on and then you have the sub item show sunny animation turned on as well, if you turn off "Show Weather Effects" it doesn't turn the sunny animation effect off. You have to make sure you turn of the Show Sunny Animation before turning off Show Weather Effects.

I installed 1.script.module.cherrypy-17.4.2-3.zip first and then 2.script.skin.helper.service-1.1.31.zip.

Unfortunately, the second can not be installed.
I tried under Windows 10 and Nvidia Shield.
In both cases I can not install Skin Helper Service.

Hello guys! i still get error with skin helper service 1.33 on Nvidia shield tv pro 2019 . Even if i uninstalled or reinstalled the error is still ocur.

Rebuilt simplecachedb works i heard. So how to rebuilt simplecachedb? Do i just delete?Thank You!

Great work here quick question though, moving through the main menu and some of the views feels very slow or sluggish. I am running on a fully updated Nvidia Shield and I have tried enabling "use fade effect to open and close windows" and I have tried changing the resolution to 1080p from 4k but it still seems pretty bad compared to skins used previously (I used Aeon MQ8 on earlier kodi installs and some other skins). Is this to be expected due to the fact it is modded to run on Matrix? Thanks.

latts9923, I thought about how apparently getting a Skin and all the corresponding Add-Ons and dependencies working in a new version of Kodi but all of your hard work has shown me that it must have been an enormous undertaking.

Thank you very very much for all your hard work and for being so attentive to everyone's issues and so quick with the fixes.

I know TV Show Next Aired is not your add-on but I am hoping you can shed some light on my issue with it. I installed the version (8.0.1)you linked in your first post but it shows not TV Shows when I run it. I have tried both, Update teh TV information Now and Reset All Data and Update the TV Information now. Both give no progress bar as I had under MQ 7/Leia and I still get no TV shows when I run the Add-On.

Undoubtedly the error is on my end, do you have any idea where I ahve gone wrong?
