Mod Aeon MQ 9 Mod for Kodi 21 (Omega)
@latt9923

Very strange my Settings Submenu comes up as the same submenu that shows up as the submenu for the Shutdown menu. (was that confusing or what!)
Before I asked, I tried Settings submenu because that is where it had always been, and I figured maybe it had been moved.

How might I fix this?

I cannot currently reach File Manager.

Thank you

OK, go to SETTINGS --> CUSTOMIZE MAIN MENU --> (scroll down to) SETTINGS (highlight it and scrol to the right) select "MY SUBMENU and hit "ENTER" or "OK" on your keyboard/remote. On the right of the screen "EMPTY" will be highlighted --> click "OK" or "ENTER" on your keyboard/remote. I will change to "MY SUBMENU-SETTINGS, select. csroll to te left ("MY SUBMENU) --> scroll to left --> scroll left (SETTINGS" will be highlighted) --> scroll left. You will see on the left of the screen Column of "EMPTY". Select top one --> REPLACE THIS MENU WITH.. --> scroll left to highlight SETTINGS and again scroll left and select FILE MANAGER. Use same procedure --> "EMPTY" --> SETTINGS scroll left to select an another choice from FILTRATE menu.

Thank you for the solution and the invaluable lesson on another aspect of this great skin and its mod, thanks to you too @latts9923.

What other menu items are normally found on the Settings Submenu?

Thank you

Bonjour Merci pour votre travail 🔝
Pourquoi il affiche les films en SDR quand ils sont Dolby Vision, version HDR10, HDR10 compatible ?

-"Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, Profile 8.1, dvhe.08.06, BL+RPU, no metadata compression, HDR10 compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, Version HDR10, HDR10 compatible"

Hello
Thanks for your work 🔝
Why does it display movies in SDR when they are Dolby Vision, HDR10 version, HDR10 compatible?

The Settings submenu has the following items by default...CUSTOMISE MAIN MENU, SKIN SETTINGS, MAIN MENU PRESETS, FILES MANAGER and SYSTEM INFO.

@UkaFelin
You're welcome! The video will display the SDR flag by default. You need to add extensions to your video filename in order to see other flags...
  • For HDR, add ".hdr."
  • For HDR10, add ".hdr10."
  • For HDR+, add ".hdr10plus."
  • For Dolby Vision, add ".dv.", "-dv", "dolbyvision" or "dolby-vision"

Bonsoir merci
Vous voulez dire que je dois éditer les fichiers vidéo avec un logiciel comme FileBot ou MediaInfo ou autre ?

Bonsoir ou bonne journée.  ;-)

Hey there @latts9923
I'm feeling like such a noob from all the times I've had to come back asking for help when I'm normally very capable of solving nearly any issues that arise but I'm struggling with this version of Aeon mq9.

Anyhow, for some crazy reason the main menu was defaulting to the music entry(not the library but it would start on music and I would have to navigate to movies or TV). I've edited the menu using the customize menu option and while I've gotten movies to be the starting menu position, of I edit the rest of the entries so TV is next then music, it goes back music being the default starting position. I've set movies to be the default from within the quick menu (pressing down>quick menu) but for some reason the skin does what it wants to and starts on music. So, I'm wondering if there is an XML or whatever that I can edit to override whatever it's doing?

I hope this makes sense, my ADHD riddled brain is going 1000mph and I am feeling like I'm not making much sense.

I made a video to better explain what happens with country flags.
When I go to “ORGANIZE>COUNTRY FLAGS>TEXT” I change to LOGO and then TEXT.
The flag of the selected movie appears the same on all movies then if I restart Kodi the flags disappear.

Go to "PROGRAMS ADD_ONS" --> long click on "Embuary Helper" and select SETTINGS. scroll right and activate "ENABLE SERVICE MODULE". Make sure you select "OK" on the bottom of the screen and restart Kodi. You should see Country flags.

Check a few settings in settings.xml for me if you would. What value do you see for the following settings..."menu01.master", "mainmenu_default_focus" and "mainmenu_focus_true".

@Dom61
Yeah, like I said that's an ongoing problem with the country flags. While browsing Movies, the only way to update the flag icon is to either open the MQ 8 Video Info screen and exit back to the view, or exit back to the Main Menu and enter Movies again. Also, switching between "TEXT" and "LOGO" only affects the flag in the MQ 8 Video Info screen.

Confirmed, actually doing it this way the country-related flag appears, only when scrolling through the various titles it stays the same for all movies and then turns off for all movies when you restart Kodi.
Is this just a personal bug of mine?

Kodi 21.2 is available to download. Just updated and so far so good. The only thing is that in order to see "SYSTEM INFO" is to activate it in SYSTEM widgets.

No, it's not a personal bug...I see the same behavior. Another thing you can do is add a global tag to userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml...
xml:
<keymap>
<global>
<keyboard>
<f5>ReloadSkin()</f5>
</keyboard>
</global>
</keymap>
Then you can select F5 on the keyboard when you move to the next Movie and it will reload the country flag.

@andrzejls
Thanks! I just installed v21.2 and all is well on mine, but I didn't have to enable the SYSTEM INFO widget after the install...strange that it disabled the widget on yours.
