That actually doesn't work for me. Here are some screenshots showing the attempt. I'm thinking there has got to be something on my machine that is conflicting, but there are no logs to look at and see what the problem could be. Is there some way to turn on debug logs for the ceton server to get more information??
You are testing on the same machine where remoteceton is installed?
This is what mine is showing:

Did you install the VLC control plugins? They are listed in INSTALL.txt.
Also make sure you have latest VLC installed (v2.0.3).
Yes the vlc plugin has been installed already. I am testing locally on the same pc as where the ceton server is installed and I am using the latest version of VLC.
I'm new to the PC version of XBMC (only been using 3 weeks, 2 of those weeks I've spent trying to set this up, I havent used XBMC since I modded my old XBOX, and used it as the dash.
I'm having problems getting my channels to show up on LiveTV.
My setup
Windows 7 (x64)
Ceton Infinitv pci card
XBMC Eden-11.0 rev.8 (pulse eight)
I have all the ports, plus extras open (8555-8565)
I moved all the files to the addon folders
I have affiliates, logos, settings, and xmltv .xml files in userdate/addon_data/resources and
addons/pvr.ceton/resources
What works
I can stream from VLC
I can use the web side streamer (also on my android phone)
The video plugin CetonTV that uses Pseudo also works
My channels.csv are in this format:
169,NFL HD,2
171,AMC HD,20
172,TV One (digital),4
173,ESPN HDTV,2

Am I missing something?
Looking at the code for this, what does the VLC plugin do?
I understand remoteCeton is talking to VLC to get it to play and transcode the video from the ceton.
What part does the VLC plugin play?
I see in the thread there is a link to a GitHub for the plugin, but it is empty.
I have a question about the Program Guide.... I can get it work on my iPhone and on my wireless laptop but for some reason it does not work on my bedroom PC. Any thoughts?

It acts as a filter for the program id. I could use the program-id command option, but I saw that that didnt seem to work 100% of the time. So, I'm using the plugin to filter the program id and check that the stream is correct (has the program id).
I'll upload the code for the plugin this week.
Gonna try to put some more time back into this proj
. Busy with other stuff right now
Have some tweaks I want to make... and then I want to see if its possible to connect this to Plex

so far, it looks like gman3042 is the only one who has hdhomerun working... I dont really have one to test but I guess I can start by adding more logs

OK eliminated this problem
I guess the problem I'm having is in the GLOBAL CONFIGS
Not sure how to set everything
this is what I have

SERVER_PASSWORD=admin
VLC_PROCESS=C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe

#Example: If VLC_STREAM_CTRL is 2386 for tuner 1, tuner 2 is 2387, etc.
VLC_STREAM_CTRL=8080
VLC_STREAM_PORT=8566

I am also having a trouble gathering EPG data. When using the guide I have "No Program Info" for any channel. My epgdata file is only 6kb. When viewing it using the web interface, it also displays "No Program Info". I'm stumped as to why it is not gathering any data and I'm not certain what to try to resolve it.
By the way, thank you for creating this, its fantastic.
I have a Raspberry Pi and the Ceton TV program works great for streaming from my Windows 7 PC to the Pi. Just wondering if it would be possible for it to show up in the "Live TV" section rather than the Programs section? When I turn on the Pi it says no compatible PVR clients installed and asks me to select one, but nothing shows up.
Keep up the great work!
does rasberry pi have a pvr build? you need a pvr build.
or wait for frodo, pvr is merged into the mainline
Yes, raspmbc has a PVR build if you install the nightly version. The only thing I see as a problem is that the ceton.dll file needs to be adapted and compiled for linux.
On another note. I tried the PVR option in a frodo alpha release on my Windows 7 machine. It finds the plugin fine, but won't add any channels. How do I go about auto adding channels, or do I have to add them each individually?
