In my case it was an issue with the smb cache.
After changing the smb chunk size setting from 256 to 64 in the latest nightly, Dolby Vision played fine.(Profile 7 failed to play)
However, HDR doesn't play on the latest nightly and it immediately hangs when I try to play it.
Disable the mouse pointer.....it's a royal pita.

@requa3r0 Just remap the scroll button
@kimpg89 Weird stuff. We'd still need a debug log with video component logging turned on though
@sundermann

Here is the hdr playback failure log.

@sundermann

Seems to be a debug log kinda day  Big Grin

here's one - DV 5 profile, settings are DV off so it should pass through the HDR10 base layer, but instead it does not send the HDR trigger/TV does not go into HDR mode so the picture is green and purple.

UPDATE - Ignore the above...was having a blonde moment.

DV Profile 5 doesn't have a fallback layer. It will either play correctly as DV or with the purple/green tint you observed.
Ah, forgot about that...good catch. (will edit post). Either way, DV does not work for me.
Torrest Plugin does not work on LG TV app, some HTTPConnectionPoll error.

Is it just me or is basically all media slightly out of sync with Kodi? It just feels off somehow. I tried the latest nightly and the sync just doesn't feel right.

Kodi is asking if you want to enable some addons, that are included. It's asking you only on first start, to make you aware of their existence. If you don't know what an addon is for you can safely just say "no".
The error popups might show, because you enabled addons that you don't use and haven't configured. You can disable them in the addon settings -> my addons.
Last build nightly no dolby vision, i Guess its not bad hdr10 fallback on mkvs.
Continue your great work, maybe os the chipset off the TV .
