My experience tonight (with Rogers account):
Live games work.
Start from beginning is not working.
Live rewinding is definitely broken, and I'll admit that I'm not 100% certain why that is. My previous thoughts about maybe the format of the files names having changed turned out to not be true. The custom playlist is being generated correctly, but it is NOT being served correctly. I need to figure out why that is. I'm working on it, but I've been terribly busy lately.

Edit: I'm about 99% certain that I figured out the issue with live rewinding. My HLS proxy requests the live playlist, and keeps track of all the HTTP headers associated with that response. I specifically ignore a handful of those headers, sending the rest back to Kodi to make sure things work properly. Apparently Neulion is gzipping the playlists now, which was causing them to send the Content-Encoding header in response to my request for the playlist. The proxy was then properly forwarding that header back to Kodi, which caused problems because the response was not in fact gzipped. If I ignore the Content-Encoding header, everything appears to work fine. I'll have to wait until a game comes on tonight to verify, but I'm about 95% certain this will get live rewinding working again.

Edit again: I pushed an update to the HLS proxy (now at v0.0.3) which, as mentioned above, should get things working again. A restart of Kodi after updating may be required, but I'm not 100% certain.
Rewinding worked nicely. Many thanks for fixing!
Is anyone else seeing it take an extremely long time to navigate through the addon? When I click on 'Today's Games' or 'Recent Games', it takes a good 2 or 3 minutes to pull up the games list. and then another 2 or 3 minutes to pull up the feed listings. Sometimes it will just time out, and I need to click again. Once I choose a feed, playback begins very quickly and I have no troubles.

I did not see this last week when testing the addon and viewing a couple of preseason games. However, since then I did add a couple of DNS entries to my router for a certain product that probably should not be discussed here. Those entries do not appear to be affecting the speed of any other addon, such as MLBMC... so before I start removing those and testing I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Nope all is good here. Must be other addons on your system causing issues.
Worked great at the start of the game (630pm CST)
Now I can't get pass the Todays Game menu.. Times out.

Just keep trying.. It does connect eventually.
I must thank the devs for this plugin. A 15 year NHLCI sub here. This is my first year doing GCL and i'm beyond impressed. The picture quality far exceeds; my expectations, NHL.com, and the other streaming boxes apps. Outstanding!!!

One thing. The audio level seems low on a lot of streams. May be the broadcaster or the source server. When I switch back to cable and forget ahead of time, I wake up the entire house.

Thanks again.
Should be good until Jan. What thenHuh

Kodi 15.1
AFTV "box"
i find its buffering a lot, do i need to update or will it do this auto?

login worked trying to watch an archived game, havent tried live yet, no are on atm,,,
buffering is on your end. check your internet connection or reboot your modem/router.
Hi,

Trying to open todays games but getting error "[Errno 8] _ssl.c:c480: EOF occurred in violation of protocol (function:__init__)" Anyone able to help?
Hi, i used this add-on last year with no problems. This year however i haven't been able to watch a game yet. I keep getting an error once i click on the game i want to watch.

('Connection aborted.', error(111, 'Connection refused')) (function: get_authorized_stream_url)

I know i have paid for NHL Game Center because i can watch games on my computer with the same login information and they have charged my CC. So i have an account, and like i said i used this add-on last year no problem and none of my account information has changed.

Any ideas?

thanks.

I have pretty much the same issue.
I don't know what happened but this addon is causing Kodi to crash. It's not in the log or anything...it just shuts down.

As I said, I never got any error or any problems before...I even watched a few games! But each time I start Kodi, this is what I get and Kodi just shuts itself off. Just in case anyone else is getting the same error. I'll wait to see if there's an update or anything else before retrying. FYI..thanks...

Something else is listening on 127.0.0.1 port 54321 (which is the default IP/port that the HLS proxy listens on). This will cause the HLS proxy to not work, but it should not cause Kodi to just give up and die. Stupid question, but one I have to ask anyways: are you sure there isn't an instance of Kodi already running in the background? Maybe it previously failed to shut down cleanly?

As for the _ssl.c errors others are having, I'm not seeing those errors. I'll look into it and see if I can find anything funny.

Edit: About the _ssl.c errors, I see StackOverflow questions about this, as well as workarounds. I'll look into implementing them.
I had the same exact problem on my Amazon Fire TV. Clearing cache didn't help. I did a reboot (AFTV normally just goes to sleep) and that fixed it.
