I am not shure h7 III is available english market and there is low possibility have new hisilicon soc(no new soc on website) with great vpe(express engine ) video quality.
Hi there . I have a big problem .

EVERY time i start a movie the subtitles are turned on . Kodi uses a wrapper and by bringing up the options menu
and setting subtitles to off this works . The next time i start a movie they are back . The Kodi Audio menu is not accessible
because the wrapper redirects to the himedia player . This is by far the most idiotic shit i ever experienced ...

Is there a way to edit any ini file or cfg file to disable them by default ? About to send this piece of crap back to amazon . Whats next
when retards create things ? Cars that automatically start the washers everytime you start them without OFF switch ?
Did you select the set as default for all movies in the menu when it popped up.?
When movie is playing bring up the audio menu (little speaker) disable subtitles then move down to the bottom and select set as default for all movies. Confirm the change and no more subtitles.

Q5 not use internal player(dvdplayer) but external himedimediaplayer, there isn't this option.....
Right . Himedia uses wrapper and himedia player . There isnt the option "set as default for all movies" .
We've asked HiMedia engineers to look into the following... not sure which improvements, if any, we'll get, but them showing interest is encouraging at least:
  • v1.0.9 (private beta), 3D ISO defaults to 720p. Must switch to 2D mode & back to 3D to fix (to get 1080p)
  • The 23.976 fix in v1.0.9 is excellent... not noticing any microstutters
  • MPEG2 HD (720p and 1080i) stutters, and some content also have audio sync issues
  • VC-1 1080p/23.976 stutters, and 29.970 (1080i) doesn't play well at all
  • When using HiMedia wrapper and HiMedia player from Kodi, the watched flag/status does not change. Can this be implemented?
  • HiMedia plays one title after another. This should not be default. After a file plays, it should go back to UI, not play next title in that folder/directory
  • On remote control, left from "0", there is a "TV MODE" button. You can change HDMI out resolution and Hz without going to ‘settings’. But 1080p24 option is missing
  • When we do a hard reset of the system, it would be nice to not format the SD data where our apps/data reside
  • Heat: the box gets to 80+ degrees Celcius after only 30-45 mins of use. What is the SOC temperature range where Q5 can be operated safely, w/o damage or reduction of box life?
  • Whatever next box you build, please include ‘Stop’ button on remote
  • Noticed you guys have a H7 III coming out for China with HDMI 2.0, faster CPU and better 4K support. Please release a box for USA as well. What many of us really want is at least 16 or 32GB of memory, with more than just 1GB or 2GB of partition for our apps/data, but 8GB or more. And, continue supporting 3D ISO, HD audio and 23.976
  • One more nice-to-have item: a global option in Settings for HiMedia player: Default Subtitles: On/Off
  • Finally, your version numbering is confusing. Q5 I, II, III, etc. Please go with something like Q5-200, Q5-400, etc., or even better would be something like Q100, Q200, Q300
Also, hope they look to proper flac support.
Now that looks very different from the M3 here. Actually, I only see "CIBN" in the branding in the link you posted.

It's not M3, it's a new box called TT Box. HiMedia and Tencent together to create this box, they are now partnership.
This box currently is accepting pre-order.

Do you know if I install himediawrapper, could I have problems with some add-ons on Kodi, like some streaming add-ons ? If so, changing to kodi internal player, the problems still existing ?

you have 2 solution:
install 2 kodi:
- kodi + mediawrapper for local e net file
- spmc for streaming

or

edit manual playercorefactory.xml (not tested )
