As you can see, It starts the server, turns on the bulb, sets music mode and connects.... and you can see responses from the bulb that everything is ok...

 Can you try without the URL control? Does it work then? Just delete the IP adress of the controller.

can you confirm me if your addon also works with the yeelight Light Strip Plus version?

I know the difference but don't know the ID If it has the same ID, it should work.

They should. Even new extendeble should work, if it has different ID than the old one (and there's no reason it should, since it is only longer and has no new functionality) it would be easy to make it work, just add the new ID in my addon (couple lines of code). But hard to tell if no one has tried it yet.

i am running Kodi 18 with GRID skin.
i turned the urls off and still the same thing.

the addon is a hit or miss (usually a miss)

most of the times if you want it to make it work you must choose a movie from the main menu where it shows the recent movies. it usually works there but not always.
if i go in the movies menu and select the movie from there! 7/10 it doesn't work. it's like your plugin doesn't understand that a movie started (only with the bulbs. the url controllers always work)
and i guess that it is not your fault exactly because i know that the addon used to work fine. maybe something was changed in Kodi?

and i don't know if you have any idea but that red color is killing me. for example... if you start a movie where the UNIVERSAL logo with the earth shows up..... you will see a red color somewhere. (where it shouldn't)
keep in mind that i have 2 bulbs behind my tv set to left and right at 1/2.

Aha, maybe, Kodi 18 is still alpha/beta so it was never tested.... but the log showed everything OK.... strange. I'm still on kodi 17.6

Can you try debug capture and get the images? We'll see if the images containg RED... if they do - it is a problem with kodi...

Also, you can try 17.6

well i don't know how easy it is to try 17.6 since i don't want to remove my kodi. i will try to keep a backup.

as for the images, can you please guide me how to get the pictures you want for the debug?

Yesterday i switch to LibreELEC (Leia) v8.90.003 ALPHA

The Addon is still working fine except the time frame. I try both manually and automatic. But both do not function. The Strip lights up at every time of day

OK, could you turn on debugging and post the whole log when it does that?

anyone using the addon with kodi 18?

i can't figure out why it doesn't work 80% of the times and 20% it works.
i am trying to figure it out but nothing.

i am using the "START" testing method in the addon and the bulbs are not working.
i am then testing each bulb separately and it works through the plugin.

this is so weird. most of the times i have to close kodi and start it again in order for it to work.
another weird thing is that sometimes, if i stop a movie and the addon was working.... kodi crashes.

i can't place my finger on it
