I have a paid subscription and after adding it to Kodi and my account info, nothing comes up when clicking on Live. All I get is "working" and it never loads. How do I fix this? Thank you in advance Wink

Robin

Edit: I decided to clear cache and reboot Kodi and now the channels are coming up. Not sure what happened unless it just took a while for everything to load after adding account info, etc.
This plugin does not work. I get dependencies not met.
So I'm running into an odd issue, and just thought I'd throw it out here. I am using XBMC/Kodi on iOS (iPhone 6+), and when playing streams from the ustvnow plugin I only get a brief working icon and then nothing.

But it's only when using a 4G connection - On WiFi it works perfectly. I've tested this on both XBMC and the nightly Kodi with the same result, and even tried tethering the iPhone to a Windows PC with a working setup and am getting the same error. Other streams work perfectly fine through 4G (Navi-x, Icefilms, ect) so it must be something with this plugin and a 4G connection. The service also works fine in a browser, but I'd love to get the plugin working.

Anybody else having a problem with Recordings. Live works fine but when I click Recordings it justs hangs,
I love this plugin, but I would love for it to brodcast from where I live. Currently FOX streams from Philadelphia and I would like it to stream from Denver. Is something like this possible?

I wouldn't count on it. The addon is based on the ustvnow.com website.
fyi tried and tried could not get this to work.
so i went back to ustvnow site logged in and reset by password.
all is good now.

thanks so much for this add-on
Buffering is out of control lately, but I suspect this is on the server end, and not necessarily the add-on. My guess is that USTV now is using some "creative" methods to encourage paid subscriptions.
I think they recently increased the bit rate to satisfy a few complaints over quality. That might be causing your buffering. But it is a bit steep considering I can get pretty much the same stations from a russian "freeintertv" websites without proxy and cheeper paid sites with/without proxy.

(2013-03-26, 19:35)syborg Wrote: [ -> ]Hey Greco,

I had a little time so here what you need to get this setup.

Files
default.py - replacement for current ustvnow default.py
Icons - Icons for TVGuide
ABC.strm etc - Strm files to point TVGuide to the correct stream.
zap2xml.exe - program to grab the listings
USTV EPG Grab.bat - Batch file to automatically run the zap2xml.exe
USTVNOW Files - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12292059/USTVNOW.zip - 2.5MB

Step 1 - Copy default.py into
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.ustvnow
replacing the current file.

Step 2 - Register with zap2it.com - http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlistings/...aid=zap2it

Change your location to 17101 - Dish Harrisburg - Satellite Local

Then Set Preferences - and select channels
8 - WGAL (NBC)
15 - WLYH (The CW)
21 - WHP (CBS)
27 - WHTM (ABC)
33 - WITF (PBS)
43 - WPMT (FOX)
238 - WWOR (My9)

Tick boxes Six Hour Grid & Show only favourites and save.

Step 3 Open the USTV EPG Grab.bat in notepad and change the username and password to your own and save.

With both the USTV EPG Grab.bat and zap2xml.exe in the same folder. Run the bat file.

As the name suggests this will grab the EPG for the channels.

Step 4 In XBMC and tvguide in the settings point the XMLTv option the US TV data.xml file you have just create and the icons option to the icons folder.

Open tvguide and this will populate the epg click on a channel it will ask you for a strm file navigate to the named strm files you have extracted from the zip file. Do this for all the channels and you should be done.

If anyone is interested you can use this method to get live channels in pseudotv. You need the default.py and the same strm files but with different names. To get them into PTV the strms have to be episodes of a tv show, so i scanned them in with nfos, you can get a copy of that here ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/rk37wbi2zm8o672/USTVNOW.zip ). Then to add them into PTV make a playlist for each station and set the channel rule to be that playlist. The nfo makes every "episode" 24 hours long so PTV wont try to replay it.

Sooo... these dropbox files are no longer there. Anybody know where to get them?

I spent some of my day trying to get this to work The files are gone, but if you follow this post: #368 in [RELEASE] TV Guide - with XMLTV and streaming support - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=120377&page=25 it works:

All you do is manually alter the default.py file and add then add the "plugin://plugin.video.ustvnow/?name=ABC&mode=play" in a stream file. I did it in the addons.ini file in tvguide.
This addon shows as incompatible on both of my fire tv sticks, but it works on my laptop. I have the same version of kodi (Helix stable) running on all three devices and I'm trying to install from the same t0mm0 repo zip file. Actually, all of the addons in this repo show as incompatible on my sticks. Is this an known issue with the amazon products?
How many channels are in the paid version? I want TruTV. Is this available in the $19.99?
