Nah, tried everything I can think of, nothing doing.

Did you do anything at all like reinstalling the repository or anything like that?
If you're having a problem creating a debug log on Android you need to take that up with the Android support people.

Nope....I just hit "check for updates" and the new version installed. Sorry to hear you're still having troubles mate.
This is bizarre, I just installed the desktop version on someones pc and its the exact same problem with that aswell, plays 30 seconds of a TV3 programme and then dies.
Mossy
I'm getting a Broken message when I try to install. Says 'dependencies are not met'. What am I doing wrong?
I'm running xbmc on Windows 8
Post a debug log (see first post) and I'll take a look.
Now working. Not sure what happened. Great plugin. Thanks for the great work.
Hello,

I've got TG4 working fine but if I try to play this programme (which plays OK on the TG4 site):

Documentaries/Cogar/Seit in Ibiza

I get the following error:

15:41:44 T:2898258800 ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [rtmp://brightcove.fcod.llnwd.net/a500/e1/uds/rtmp/ondemand/ app=ondemand?videoId=1339491761001&lineUpId=&pubId=1290862567001&playerId=1364138050001&affiliateId= playpath=mp4:1290862567001/1290862567001_1339522324001_WCL002916-15-4-1339527595001.mp4&1364230800000&8cfd7c492b7c34ffac21619b83d9e7c2 swfurl=http://admin.brightcove.com/viewer/us20130319.1040/federatedVideoUI/BrightcoveBootloader.swf tcUrl=rtmp://brightcove.fcod.llnwd.net/a500/e1/uds/rtmp/ondemand/ pageurl=http://www.tg4.ie]

Not sure if this is significant but what I notice is that the server is brightcove.fcod.llnwd.net rather than cp156323.edgefcs.net

This is easily reproducible but I can attach a full debug log if necessary.

John.
That programme requires different parameters.

I can fix it but it won't work with the stock librtmp/rtmpdump installed with XBMC.
Hello Mossy and thanks for the reply.

At the risk of getting flamed for misuse of the XBMC forum, I should come clean and explain that I'm not an XBMC user. I did evaluate it several years ago when it was in its infancy but chose to go down the Freevo path instead. If I was faced with the same decision now, I would have chosen XBMC which is under active development unlike Freevo. But I've invested too many years of my life in getting Freevo into a working state to change now!

So what I've done is taken the stream-handling stuff from ITV, RTE, TV3, TG4 and ARD players, written fresh menus and massaged the whole lot into the exiting Freevo GUI structure and they're all working well.

If it's not too much effort, I would appreciate some hints in getting that programme to play (not that I'm interested in set dancing). Is it 'simply' a case of rearranging the stream parameters somehow (which I've already tried) or is it much more complicated? I'm using rtmpdump 2.4.

Cheers.

John.
Hi Mossy

I've been having serious trouble with sync between sound and picture, and at times the sound can be up to 30 seconds ahead of picture.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Also experienced this, I think exiting and opening again fixed it.
Friends of mine who watch RTE down the pub in England report that the Audio is out of sync on the feed the pub uses so maybe not the plugin.
I've had this issue since first started using it. Simple solution has always worked for me though - pause the stream, wait for5 seconds and then resume playing
@percivjr

This rtmpdump command is working for me right now, with the latest version of RTMPDump v2.4 -

Code:
rtmpdump -r "rtmp://brightcove.fcod.llnwd.net:1935/a500/e1/uds/rtmp/ondemand/" -a "a500/e1/uds/rtmp/ondemand?videoId=1339491761001&lineUpId=&pubId=1290862567001&playerId=1364138050001&affiliateId=" --swfUrl "http://admin.brightcove.com/viewer/us20130319.1040/federatedVideoUI/BrightcovePlayer.swf" -p "http://www.tg4.ie" -C B:0 -C S:"mp4:1290862567001/1290862567001_1339522324001_WCL002916-15-4-1339527595001.mp4&1364418000000&3ef7b1da33f0d8fd3b14254092a07817" -y "mp4:1290862567001/1290862567001_1339522324001_WCL002916-15-4-1339527595001.mp4" -o 1290862567001_1339522324001_WCL002916-15-4-1339527595001.3.flv

Note the addition of a500/e1/uds/rtmp/ in the main url and the app parameter. There are also two -C parameters. I expect that details in the end part of the second -C parameter (after 001.mp4) can be found somewhere in the AmfResponse.

Update: The stock version of RTMPDump/librtmp v2.4 will not work with the above command. If you have not specifically taken steps to get a more recent version of RTMPDump/librtmp v2.4 then you'll probably need to do so. This may mean downloading and compiling the source, see HOW-TO:Update_librtmp. Note that v2.4 was released in 2011 and they have not updated the version number since, but they make updates/fixes etc to the source code.

The only other programme that I've found to have this problem is "Entertainment | Imeall (Feb 2012)". The programme above is from 2011. This problem may only affect older programmes. Are you aware of any others? If it's just these two then it's not worth fixing, IMO.
