phunkyfish, my json implementation looks very simple and generic. Why not do something like this? For PVR you jump to some time which could be in epoch seconds so you know where to jump.

I'm sure this could be useful feature.

It would be best if it was using the resume features we have for video. So it remembers the time you stopped playing the channel and then gives you the option of starting it from the resume point. The hard part is figuring out how to get it to proxy the request to play from the resume point to the addon.
@phunkyfish , I´d like to ask you, is there any way how to play live stream like this one with kodi:

https://path-to-stream/1-pc-20210411T074000.m3u8

where 20210411T074000 is starttime of programme from EPG.
The advantage of this live stream is I can play programme from beginning (rewind back), I can use pause/play too.
If the stream url is without 20210411T074000, it plays "just" live stream without advantages mentioned above.

Sorry for my english, hope you undrestand.

Regards Franky.

I don’t see why not. It’s just representation of the time you want. There are placeholders for each of those values available to create the catchup source. The the channel URL is that without the placeholders.

Understand. But from my POV this are 2 separate features: stop/resume and play from some specified time.

Fair. Maybe we can add a menu item for a channel in iptvsimple. If the time is wrong it just plays live. The only issue will be it will show for every channel and not just catchup.

hello phunkyfish,
I tried it and the time correction works as needed. But I need to find which format specifiers to use in channel url, because {lutc} and {utc} doesn´t work.
Many thansk for your work.
Frank
{lutc} should work. Also {now} and {timestamp}. But this will only apply the catchup correction to the live time. So in your case the live time - 2 hours.

If you want to play from the start of the current programme then you need to go to the EPG and select "Play programme" instead of "Switch". This will already incorporate the correction.

Oh man, thank you very much for your help, that was the problem. I enabled the setting in cathup "cathup only available on finished programmes" so I don't have the button "Play programme" in the current programme.
When I disabled that setting, I have button "Play programme" now in the current programme and it works as I need.
Regards
Frank.
Hi. @phunkyfish

neither version load channel icons after cleaning the epg in the TV settings, they keep coming back after closing and starting kodi again I have to repeat this process because again there are no channel icons tried with some epg, from  url, hdd, .gz and .xml Nothing helps I still have an older version of pvr.iptvsimple-7.3.0, there are no problems here

Can you try the previous 2 versions here and see if they work correctly?

http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/matrix/pvr...ws-x86_64/
neither shows the channel logo but each shows the logo in groups On a clean kodi, it loads the logo the first time, after the next launch, not

Maybe here's the problem in newer pvr versions (multi name)
Code:

<channel id="Sky Sport UHD">
  <display-name lang="de">Sky Sport UHD</display-name>
  <display-name lang="de">Sky Sport HD</display-name>
  <display-name lang="de">Sky Sport 4K</display-name>

</channel>

Why do you think the problem is with multi name?
I will check android and coreelec to rule out windows blame and let you know ..

in a private message I sent you what I use so that you can check more precisely ....

edit...

The problem does not occur on android..
