Jezz, as i am totally noob in xbmc can you give me a hint where i can get latest files for this pvr2 ?

Do y reffering to:
http://gitorious.org/xbmc/xbmc/commits/9...melot-Live

You also mentioned about already compiled files - where i can find them?

This pvr is i assuming some kind of plugin to xbmc ?
Nope, I am pretty sure he means checking out http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/branches/pvr-testing2 with svn co http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/branches/pvr-testing2 and then compile it according to instruction in the README.ubuntu. PVR isn't a plugin, it's a framework for interacting with TV-services. Right now it just works with vdr.

Biggles,
I've ask question about "plugin" as i don't want to compile whole xbmc Wink

As i dont know how to download it, i'm making svn download as wirtten here:
http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/branches/pv...DME.ubuntu
is it ok ?

M.
Don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's not possible to just compile a plugin. If you want the pvr-branch, it's a package deal. You have to compile from source or install from the hepi-ppa. You cannot run the pvr-branch with the ordinary xbmc build... As stated by Jezz_X above "because the main xbmc (Camelot) comes from the svn trunk and has no tv stuff aside from a file list in it"
Biggles, but as it is as you wrote how possible is this topic ?

In it i cannot find any infos about recompiling whole xbmc ?
Or maby the "issue" is only in live version ?

M.
You have to choices:

1. Compile from source
2. Install from the ppaConfused provided in the first post of this thread.

No matter which method you choose, you replace your current build (Camelot, Live or whatever) with the pvr-testing2 branch.
biggles Wrote:2. Install from the ppaConfused provided in the first post of this thread.

Ok, i did like you mentioned but with no resoult. XBMC was reloaded (started as it was turned off during driver compilation, instalation, and packacges installation) and ... nothing - i could not find tv options in settings.
Check your logs (~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log) to see which version you are running. You obviously haven't installed the pvr-version, you are still running the old one... If that it the case, uninstall the old one, remove the xbmc-ppa from you sources and just keep the ones mentioned in the first post (or if you mean you have compiled your own, you probably haven't installed to the right directory. Check which directory your xbmc.bin is running from)

Biggles,

I have standard live beta edition:
Code:
12:14:10 T:3078080400 M:970891264  NOTICE: -----------------------------------------------------------------------
12:14:10 T:3078080400 M:970891264  NOTICE: Starting XBMC, Platform: GNU/Linux.  Built on Dec  9 2009 (SVN:25484)
12:14:10 T:3078080400 M:970891264  NOTICE: special://xbmc/ is mapped to: /usr/share/xbmc

With sources below:
Code:
root@noname:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-security main restricted universe multiverse

# Custom repositories

deb http://www.lonelycoder.com/debian hts main

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/the-vdr-team/vdr-ubuntu-karmic/ubuntu karmic main
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/henningpingel/xbmc/ubuntu karmic main

So also standard ones.

Could you tell me what exacly should i uninstall and install ?
I would start to comment out the ordinary repository (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu/ karmic main) do an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and see if you get the pvr-version. If that doesn't work, I would uninstall xbmc and then try to reinstall it (with http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/ppa/ubuntu/ disabled).
So is this now working with the new default skin ? i cant find any TV option on my new setup (live) Huh

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xbmc: Depends: xbmc-data (= pvr-testing-17~hepi-karmic25817) but 1:9.11~beta2-karmic1 is to be installed

E: Broken packages

I will try with 9.11 live version
@Jakolim, As you already have the live version installed you will need to remove some packages and reinstall from Hepi's ppa, before running 'apt-get install xbmc-live' do;
apt-get remove xbmc-*
If that doesn't work you may need to explicitly do each package name eg;
apt-get remove xbmc-data xbmc-skin-confluence etc..
Then ensure Hepi ppa is enabled and XBMC PPA isn't and do apt-get update, apt-get install xbmc-live

@catrix, Yes but you need a package with PVR support enabled it doesn't work right off the bat with the live CD.
You can replace the packages with PVR supporting versions by going through the first post (you will need to remove the XBMC PPA from sources.list if you have installed from Live).

Swifty, maby this is the solution for me too?

To remove "remove the XBMC PPA from sources.list" ?
jalokim: I already told you to remove XBMC PPA several posts ago...
